Michael Jai White shares his desire to return to the superhero genre, including which characters he’d like to play in James Gunn’s new DC Universe. White is no stranger to the superhero genre; he played Spawn in the 1997 movie, and he’s also played many characters in DC projects, including The Dark Knight and Arrow. His desire to return to the genre makes sense, especially with his skills as a martial artist and impressive action experience.

In an exclusive interview with Screen Rant for One More Shot, White also discussed his desire to return to the superhero genre. He shared which characters he’d love to play, including reprising his Arrowverse role. White also throws his name in the ring for a major DC Universe hero, which he has been fan-cast as before. Michael Jai White: Honestly, not to be cocky, I think I’d do honor to any of the superhero characters. But the one thing that fans seem to want more than anything else, I believe it’s between Bronze Tiger and then Green Lantern.

His portrayal of the Bronze Tiger brought a surprising amount of depth, with the character originally introduced as a villain before joining the Arrowverse’s version of the Suicide Squad. White has also been fan-cast as Green Lantern, John Stewart, after voicing the character in the Justice League Heroes video game.
