Arrowverse Star Melissa Benoist Comments On The DC Universe’s New Supergirl

Arrowverse’s Melissa Benoist chimes in on Milly Alcock being tapped as the new Kara Zor-El for the DC Universe in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.

Screen Rant recently sat down with Benoist for her new Max series, The Girls on The Bus, where she chatted about the upcoming political drama. Nearly two years after finishing her run on The CW, Benoist was asked about what she was excited to see with Alcock’s iteration of Supergirl in Gunn’s DC Universe. The Arrowverse alum stated the following:

I think any and all takes on the character are valuable because of what she stands for. Supergirl as an entity is iconic for a reason and has been since the ’50s. I personally think that every iteration of her is valuable for young women to see, and hopefully [with] every take on her, someone will see themselves in it.

The Girls On The Bus premieres March 14, exclusively on Max.
