One major character may be facing a dark twist of fate in an international Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom trailer. The upcoming DC Extended Universe sequel will see the eponymous king of Atlantis having to face off against the return of Black Manta, out for revenge for the death of his father and now powered by the cursed Black Trident.
With just over a month remaining until its release, the official Warner Bros. Japanese YouTube has shared a new Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom international trailer.
The video, as seen above, reveals much more of the Atlantean action to be seen in the sequel, including Momoa’s eponymous hero riding large seahorses, though who he’s fighting remains unclear. The trailer also seemingly teases a dark twist to come for Wilson’s Orm, with him struggling against the abilities of the Black Trident and the cursed army it powers.
