Anonymous Euphoria Star Explains Why They Think Season 3 Is Unlikely To Happen

An anonymous cast member from HBO’s Euphoria doesn’t believe season 3 will actually happen. Following a hugely successful second season that saw ratings rise considerably, the Sam Levinson-created series has been on an extended hiatus since 2022. Recently, there have been rumors that HBO has cancelled Euphoria, but the network came out with a statement insisting they still intend to make season 3, but scripts are still being written, so production has been delayed.

Though HBO is publicly standing by Euphoria, one of its stars is casting doubt on season 3 actually making it to screens. Speaking anonymously to The Daily Beast, this star explains their frustration with the ongoing delay and bluntly says, “I just don’t think it will happen.” Check out their full comments below:

“Since January of 2022, we have had a start date of March that turned into June, that turned into January. And then they kept pushing every month from then on. It was two full years of HBO telling all the actors we were going back soon, so we couldn’t take some jobs.

“Before last week I couldn’t take any TV jobs. Since they have put it on hiatus, I can now take any job. But what sucks is that we all had more momentum right when the show came out but now it’s been 2 years of waiting.

“Because I’m an actor I will always be excited about any acting work so yes I am looking forward to returning. I just don’t think it will happen.”
