Andrew Garfield, who played the second iteration of live-action Spider-Man and officially joined the MCU in Spider-Man: No Way Home, has opened up on how he feels about fans preferring other Spider-Man actors. Garfield’s take on the iconic Marvel character was Sony’s second attempt at bringing the franchise to life in cinema. His first outing in The Amazing Spider-Man was met with much praise, but his second and final solo appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 unfortunately spelled doom for his tenure.
During the Red Sea Film Festival, attended by Variety, Garfield was asked how he felt about fans who prefer Tobey Maguire or Tom Holland as Spider-Man actors, stating, “I’m 40 years old. If you love me, fine, and if you don’t love me, it’s your loss.”
