American Idol Season 22: Who Is In The Top 24? (SPOILERS)

American Idol season 22 has been thrilling so far, with incredible performances during the auditions, and the Top 24 has been revealed through spoilers. American Idol season 22 features host Ryan Seacrest, along with judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan. The auditions took place in the judges’ hometowns of Tuskegee, Alabama (Lionel), Santa Barbara, California (Katy), and Leesburg, Georgia (Luke), as well as Los Angeles, California and Nashville, Tennessee.

The American Idol season 22 judges have already given several contestants their golden tickets to Hollywood. There are also three platinum tickets awarded to the best of the best, which, in the past, have given contestants the privilege of skipping the first round of Hollywood Week, among other perks. The Top 24 contestants were mentored by either Tori Kelly or Jelly Roll. As the auditions are wrapping up, here are the Top 24 contestants who performed at Disney’s Aulani Resort & Spa in Hawaii, along with who mentored them and which songs they sang, according to The Idol Pad.

Abi Carter

Sang “Wherever You Would Call Me” by Zaini

In her original American Idol audition, Abi wowed the judges with her version of “What Was I Made For?” by Billie Eilish. All three judges voted for her to go to Hollywood. Abi later received one of the three platinum tickets of the season. She made it to the Top 24, and was mentored by Tori Kelly. Abi sang “Wherever You Would Call Me” by Zaini in Hawaii.

Ajii

Sang “Higher” by Tems

Ajii is a member of the American Idol season 22 Top 24. After being mentored by Jelly Roll in Hawaii, he sang “Higher” by Tems on the Aulani stage. During his first audition, Ajii sang “Lose Control” by Teddy Swims. Ajii received three votes of yes from the judges and earned a golden ticket to Hollywood.

Blake Proehl

Sang “Anyone” by Justin Bieber

Former football player Blake earned his golden ticket to Hollywood from all three judges when he sang “In Case You Didn’t Know” by Brett Young during his first audition. Blake was in Tori’s American Idol group during the Hawaii round. He sang “Anyone” by Justin Bieber.

Elleigh Francom

Sang “Forget You!” by Cee-Lo Green

The American Idol season 22 Top 24 contestants also includes Elleigh. She was mentored by Jelly Roll during the Hawaii Round. Elleigh sang “Forget You!” by Cee-Lo Green.

Emmy Russell

Sang “Beautiful Things” by Benson Boone

At Emmy’s original American Idol season 22 audition, she revealed that she’s country music legend Loretta Lynn’s granddaughter. She sang an original song called “Skinny,” and earned votes of yes from all three judges. During the Hawaii Round, Jelly Roll was Emmy’s mentor. She sang “Beautiful Things” by American Idol season 19 contestant Benson Boone.

Hailey Mia

Sang “She’s All I Wanna Be” by Tate McRae

Hailey is a member of the American Idol season 22 Top 24. She was mentored by Tori and sang “She’s All I Wanna Be” by Tate McRae. After her first audition with “Rise” by Katy Perry, Hailey received three votes of yes from the judges and a golden ticket to Hollywood.

Jack Blocker

Sang “Rainbow” by Kacey Musgraves

Jack has had a wild American Idol ride so far. During his first audition, he sang an original song called “I Was Wrong.” Luke voted yes for him to go to Hollywood, but Lionel and Katy said no, which meant that he didn’t receive a golden ticket. However, after Luke expressed his doubts about letting Jack go and the American Idol crew voted to keep Jack in the competition, Lionel changed his mind. Therefore, Jack received the golden ticket. The title of his original song proved to be true for the judges, as he made it to the Hawaii Round where he was mentored by Jelly Roll. Jack sang “Rainbow” by Kacey Musgraves while playing the guitar.

Jayna Elise Brown

Sang “Confident” by Demi Lovato

Jayna returned to American Idol after appearing on season 21, during which she was eliminated during Hollywood Week. Jayna is remembered for singing with fellow contestant Fire after Fire’s duet partner Kaya Stewart left the competition due to illness. In the American Idol season 22 Hawaii Round, Jayna was mentored by Tori, and sang “Confident” by Demi Lovato.

Jennifer Jeffries

Sang “Bruises” by Lewis Capaldi

When Jennifer first auditioned for American Idol season 22, she sang an original song called “Change My Ways.” She impressed the judges so much that they all voted yes for her to go to Hollywood. During the Hawaii Round, Jennifer was mentored by Jelly Roll. She sang “Bruises” by Lewis Capaldi.

Sang “Titanium” by David Guetta & Sia

Jordan is an American Idol season 22 Top 24 finalist. He was mentored by Tori Kelly. Jordan sang “Titanium” by David Guetta & Sia on the Aulani stage.

The American Idol season 22 group of Top 24 finalists also includes Julia. She sang “Rumour Has It” by Adele. Julia was mentored by Tori Kelly.

Sang “Heaven” by Bryan Adams

K.B. got her start on American Idol season 22 when she received votes of yes from all three judges for her performance of “Something in the Orange” by Zach Bryan. In Hawaii, she was mentored by Tori. K.B. sang “Heaven” by Bryan Adams during that round.

Sang “How to Live Without You” by Kayko

Sam Kelly-Cohen, who goes by his stage name, Kayko, originally didn’t intend to audition for American Idol. He played the piano during his friend Abby Blake’s audition. However, the judges encouraged him to try out too. Kayko sang an original song called “Time of Your Life,” and both he and Abby received golden tickets to Hollywood. In Hawaii, Kayko was mentored by Tori, and sang another original song called “How to Live Without You.”

KBlocks is another American Idol season 22 Top 24 finalist. During the Hawaii Round, she sang “Harleys in Hawaii” by Katy Perry. KBlocks was mentored by Jelly Roll.

“Fancy” by Bobbie Gentry/Reba McEntire

Mortician Kennedy originally auditioned with “River Deep – Mountain High” by Ike & Tina Turner. Although Luke voted no, Kennedy received a golden ticket to Hollywood with votes of yes from Lionel and Katy. In Hawaii, Jelly Roll was Kennedy’s mentor. She sang “Fancy” by Bobbie Gentry/Reba McEntire.

Sang “Jealous” by Nick Jonas

Mackenzie impressed the judges with his first audition when he sang “Bring It On Home to Me” by Sam Cooke. He received votes of yes from all three judges, and a golden ticket to Hollywood. In Hawaii, Mackenzie was mentored by Jelly Roll. He sang “Jealous” by Nick Jonas on the Aulani stage.

McKenna was very memorable during her first audition because she was surprised by meeting her birth family in-person for the first time during it. She began the audition by singing “There Was Jesus” by Zach Williams and Dolly Parton. After her birth family entered the room along with her adoptive family, she sang “Tumbleweed,” a song by Nowhere Man and a Whiskey Girl, which was her late birth mother Amy Ross Lopez’s band. During Hollywood Week, McKenna was mentored by Tori, and she sang “The Story” by Brandi Carlile, while playing the guitar.

During the American Idol season 22 Hawaii Round, Nya sang “(Simply) The Best” by Bonnie Tyler/Tina Turner, after being mentored by Tori. For her first audition, she sang “Wait a Minute!” by Willow Smith. All three judges voted for her to receive a golden ticket to Hollywood.

Sang “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars

Odell dazzled Lionel, Katy, and Luke with his first audition when he sang “Bring It on Home to Me” by Sam Cooke. A week later, they award him with one of the three platinum tickets of the season. In Hawaii, Odell was mentored by Jelly Roll. He sang “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars on the Aulani stage.
