American Dad Goes Scooby-Doo In Fun Halloween-Themed Clip [EXCLUSIVE]

American Dad season 18 is in full swing, with the show set to celebrate Halloween with a fun and satirical new episode. The wide-ranging 18th season of American Dad has explored the Multiverse, gone to Roswell, and more, continuing the series’ tradition of lampooning the most iconic aspects of American pop culture. The series has a storied history of doing such a thing, too; American Dad is one of the longest-running animated series of all time, and is just shy of being one of the longest-running shows on American television in general.

Leaning into spooky season, American Dad’s newest episode goes full Halloween with a take on Scooby-Doo. Screen Rant is excited to debut a clip from the episode, which is titled “Z.O.I.N.C.S.”, written by Jeff Kauffman, and directed by Shawn Murray. Take a look at the clip below:

More About American Dad Season 18

The synopsis for American Dad season 18 episode 15 teases a search for Stan after the Seth MacFarlane-voiced character goes missing. The Smith gang explores the abandoned CIA headquarters in search of Stan and, of course, spooky hijinks ensue. In addition to featuring American Dad’s main cast, “Z.O.I.N.C.S.” features guest stars Rene Gube (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), Mike Henry (Family Guy), Phil LaMarr (Futurama), Matt E. Mixer (New Kids on the Block), and Sir Patrick Steward (Logan).

American Dad season 18 will have 22 episodes, so there will be seven more chances to enjoy the adventures of the Smith family after “Z.O.I.N.C.S.” airs. Future episode titles like “Steve, Snot, and the Quest for the Og Four Loko” reveal more pop culture references to come, and the season 18 finale “Into the Jingleverse” will certainly have a holiday theme. How the rest of season 18 will stand up against the best American Dad episodes remains to be seen, but if the clip above is any indication, they will have the show’s signature brand of humor in spades.
