AMD Could Soon Launch Ryzen 5000 PRO CPUs

An online listing has revealed new desktops powered by AMD‘s unannounced Ryzen 5000 ‘PRO’ processors. The development comes a few days after AMD’s ‘Embedded’ Ryzen 5000 CPUs were spotted following a listing by industrial computing and automation solutions provider Advantech. A total of four different Ryzen 5000 Embedded CPUs were listed, led by the Ryzen 9 5950E, which comes with 12 cores and 24 threads. This is in contrast to the desktop-spec Ryzen 9 5950X, which ships with 16 cores and 32 threads. The other ‘Embedded’ chips include the Ryzen 9 5900E with 10 cores and 20 threads, the Ryzen 7 5800E with eight cores and 16 threads, and the Ryzen 5 5600E with six cores and 12 threads.

Meanwhile, even though the Ryzen 5000 line is seeing new additions, AMD is all set to unveil its Zen 4-based Ryzen 7000-series desktop CPUs this month. According to a recent report, the company will unveil at least four different Ryzen 7000 CPUs on Aug. 29 before making them available for purchase from Sept. 15. The upcoming SKUs will reportedly include the 8-core 12-thread Ryzen 9 7950X, the 12-core 24-thread Ryzen 9 7900X, the 8-core 16-thread Ryzen 7 7700X, and the 6-core 12-thread Ryzen 5 7600X. Alongside the processors, the event will also see many of AMD’s partner motherboard manufacturers showing off their X670 and X670 Extreme motherboards.

According to Lenovo’s official website listing, three new Ryzen 5000 PRO-series desktop processors may be coming soon, including the Ryzen 9 PRO 5945, the Ryzen 7 PRO 5845 and the Ryzen 5 PRO 5645. Based on the Zen 3 architecture, the three chips are meant for the AM4 socket with support for DDR4-3200 memory and will power the Lenovo ThinkStation P358 Tower system. In addition, a post by Twitter user @_rogame has further revealed the existence of a fourth PRO chip — the Ryzen 3 PRO 4350G.

As far as the specifications for the new chips are concerned, the tweet mentioned above seemingly reveals the core counts, frequencies, caches and other technical aspects of all four chips. According to the post, the Ryzen 3 Pro 4350G will be a quad-core, octa-threaded processor clocked at up to 4GHz. It will also be the only chip to come with integrated Radeon graphics.

As for the other AMD chips on the list, the Ryzen 5 PRO 5645 will be a 6-core 12-thread processor with a base clock of 3.7GHz and a max frequency of 4.6GHz. Next comes the Ryzen 7 PRO 5845, an 8-core, 16-thread part. It will have a base frequency of 3.4GHz and a max frequency of 4.6GHz. Finally, the Ryzen 9 PRO will be a 12-core, 24-thread chip with a 3GHz base clock and 4.7GHz max clock. All the AMD chips on the list will support DDR4-3200 RAM.
