All The Ways You Can Watch Westworld Season 2

All The Ways You Can Watch Westworld Season 2

Westworld Season 2 premieres Sunday, and here’s how you can watch the new episodes. Created by the husband and wife team of Jonathan Nolan (Person of Interest) and Lisa Joy (Burn Notice), Westworld arrived on HBO in October 2016, and quickly became the premium cable giant’s latest phenomenon. Based on the classic 1973 film of the same name – which was written and directed by prolific author Michael Crichton – Westworld introduced viewers to a wild west-themed amusement park populated by highly advanced android hosts capable of interacting with guests in any number of ways.

For the deep-pocketed patrons of Westworld, the titular park offers them a chance of indulge their innermost desires, without fear of judgment or legal retribution. This very much includes both kinky sex acts and acts of violence that would bring criminal charges if performed on another human being. Of course, this set up works only as long as the hosts cooperate and obey their programming. As any sci-fi fan knows though, androids often ultimately behave in ways their creators didn’t intend.

That’s where Season 2 comes in; Westworld Season 1 ended with the hosts gaining consciousness and aiming to take over the park, promising a bloody, heavy new run. No matter your TV setup or where you are in the world, here’s how to watch Westworld Season 2.

How To Watch Westworld Season 2 In The US

All The Ways You Can Watch Westworld Season 2

HBO: The most straightforward way to watch Westworld season 2 is, of course, to watch it as it airs live on HBO. Those who subscribe to HBO as part of their cable or internet TV package can also use their login credentials to watch full Westworld episodes – posted the same night they air – via the HBO Go app. Those without a traditional TV package can subscribe to HBO directly via the HBO Now standalone service, which costs $14.99 per month, and offers new customers a 30-day free trial.

Amazon Prime: Prime Video is included with a $10.99 subscription to the full Amazon Prime package, or on its own for $8.99, and the HBO add-on – including Westworld Season 2 – is $14.99/month. New subscribers are eligible for a 30-day free trial, in addition to a 7-day trial for new HBO subscribers.

Hulu: Hulu plans range from $7.99/month to $43.99/month, but the base plan plus HBO’s $14.99 add-on are all that’s required to watch Westworld season 2. Hulu offers a 30-day free trial, which can be combined with HBO’s 7-day trial.

PlayStation Vue: PlayStation Vue can be watched from a web browser or mobile app (it has no PS4 requirement) and is compatible with a number of streaming devices. Vue’s packages range from $34.99 to $74.99, and the HBO add-on is $15 (however, the $74.99 package already includes the premium channel). Vue has a 5-day free trial, which can combine with the HBO 7-day trial to get you 5-days of streaming Westworld for free before they start charging your account.

Sling TV: Sling TV’s base “Orange” package is available for $20/month, with the more robust “Blue” package costing $25/month, and a variety of extra packages typically costing $5, but the important one, HBO, is $15. Both include a 7-day free trial, providing another way to watch Westworld for free before committing to another subscription service.

DirecTV Now: DirecTV finally has an option for cord cutters with DirecTV Now. Packages range from $35 to $70 per month, and the HBO addon is $5. A 7-day trial enables new customers to watch Westworld for free for a week before charges kick in.

Standalone Digital Purchase: It’s important to note that while the option to purchase episodes individually or by the season exists for most shows, that doesn’t apply to Westworld season 2. HBO spends a lot of money on the show, and would very much like consumers to subscribe to its service – or a TV provider that carries it – in order to watch it. Thus, if you want to legally watch Westworld season 2 as it airs, the only option is to somehow go through HBO.

How To Watch Westworld Season 2 In The Rest of the World

In Canada, Westworld season 2 airs live on HBO Canada, at the same time as the U.S. airing. Westworld is also available to stream on the cable-tied The Movie Network Go service, which offers HBO programs up north. As with the U.S., no standalone digital purchase option is currently available.

In the U.K., Westworld season 2 airs live on Sky Atlantic, at the same time as the U.S. airing.
