All Tank Balloon Locations in Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels

All Tank Balloon Locations in Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels

With the new Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels DLC, players can find Tank Balloons scattered throughout the four areas of the new map. The Hot Wheels DLC launched in July 2022 and represents a collaboration between the toy car manufacturers and the Forza team. In addition to its usual racing fare, the Hot Wheels DLC adds upside-down loops to the game, giving it that classic Hot Wheels feel set in a beautiful realistic landscape.

Tank Balloons in Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels DLC are breakable objects found throughout Hot Wheels Park. They look similar to the Tank Piñatas that players can destroy on the mainland but instead float above the track; this works well with the air-themed environment of Hot Wheels Park. Players will be able to see a Tank Balloon icon on their map indicating where the Tank Balloons are suspended above the track.

To destroy Tank Balloons in Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels DLC, players need to vault their cars in the air and hit them. Unfortunately, there isn’t a wide hitbox on the Tank Balloons, so players need to make sure they are lined up with the Balloons before jumping up to hit them. Also, not all Tank Balloons will be available from the start, as many are locked in Forza Horizon 5 behind Ranks, but as players level up, they will unlock all 20 Tank Balloons.

The 20 Tank Balloons in the Hot Wheels DLC can be found scattered throughout Hot Wheels Park. As players improve their rank, they can unlock more Tank Balloons. Shooting them down will reward players with medals, and smashing at least one balloon will earn players the Pop! Accolade needed for a mission to complete Rookie Rank.

There are four different environments in the Hot Wheels Park: the Horizon Nexus in the middle and tracks that float in the air, Forest Falls to the north, the Giant’s Canyon in the southeast, and the Ice Canyon in the southwest. Players can find these balloons over time based on their rank, starting with Rookie and leveling up to A Rank:

  • Central Horizon Nexus: One balloon is directly north of the central Nexus.
  • Ice Canyon: Six balloons are in the Ice Canyon, including the first one on the outside loop near the bottom left of the map.
  • Forest Falls: Seven balloons are in Forest Falls to the north, and most will be closer to the center.
  • Giant’s Canyon: Six of the balloons are scattered throughout Giant’s Canyon

The best way to find these balloons is to pay attention to the Forza Horizon 5 map. A Tank Balloon icon will indicate where the balloons are, and players will be able to see them hovering right above the tracks. In most cases, players can boost over a ramp to collect them. As players gain ranks on the Hot Wheels Park map, they will unlock the rest of the balloons.

Forza Horizon 5 is available for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
