All Of Us Are Dead’s Finale Means A Fan-Favorite Couple Will Be Together Again In Season 2

All Of Us Are Dead’s Finale Means A Fan-Favorite Couple Will Be Together Again In Season 2

All of Us Are Dead season 1’s finale means that a fan-favorite couple can get back together in season 2. The best K-dramas of all time, regardless of their genre, usually include at least one compelling romantic couple. Even though All of Us Are Dead is in the horror genre, the Netflix K-drama featured two major romantic storylines and even teased a love triangle that fortunately did not last very long. One of those couples ended in tragedy, though, as Cheong-san died saving On-jo and the others.

The surviving All of Us Are Dead characters are currently living in safety after managing to get out of the school and leave the city’s urban area by themselves. It’s unclear when All of Us Are Dead season 2 will be released or what it will be about, but the show should now have a lot of freedom given it has already covered most of the webtoon. For example, based on how the zombie K-drama’s first season ended, Nam-ra and Su-hyeok might now finally have the happy ending they didn’t get in season 1.

All Of Us Are Dead’s Finale Revealed Nam-ra Can Now Control Her Powers

Nam-ra can finally reconnect with Su-hyeok and her friends

All of Us Are Dead season 1 ended with On-jo, Su-hyeok, and the others escaping from the quarantine zone to go back to school after noticing that a fire had been lit up on the roof. They knew this was a message from Nam-ra, who first bonded with them around a fire on that same roof. Nam-ra had been missing ever since she separated herself from the group after almost killing On-jo in a rather tragic scene in which the hambie realized she was a threat to her friends and could not stay with them.

This is why Nam-ra’s return at the end of All of Us Are Dead was so surprising. Not only was Nam-ra willing to get close to her friends again, but she now seemed far more peaceful and in control of her powers. Nam-ra’s signature red eye, which came with her zombie infection and never disappeared, was no longer there. According to Nam-ra, she can now control her powers, which is why she finally reaches out to her friends. In other words, Nam-ra can reconnect with the group as well as with her boyfriend, Su-hyeok.

The relationship between Nam-ra and Su-hyeok was one of All of Us Are Dead’s most important storylines. While the show could have gone without the love triangle drama, the pairing of Su-hyeok and Nam-ra worked very well. Su-hyeok was the first one to stand up for Nam-ra after she was infected by Gwi-nam, and while he already had feelings for her before that, they grew closer after she became a hambie. However, Nam-ra and Su-hyeok’s relationship was bound to end in tragedy considering that she could turn into a zombie and attack him at any time.

All Of Us Are Dead Season 2’s Story Will Justify The Show’s Biggest Nam-Ra Change

All of Us Are Dead made a major change to Nam-ra’s character compared to the webtoon, but the upcoming season 2 proves it was the right call.

There were a few times in All of Us Are Dead in which Nam-ra almost attacked Su-hyeok when they were too close to each other, adding to the perception that they would never have a happy ending. Su-hyeok was the one who saved On-jo from Nam-ra at the end of season 1, after which he and Nam-ra never saw each other again for weeks. Fortunately, now that Nam-ra controls her powers and is no longer a threat to herself and others, it will be possible for her and Su-hyeok to reunite.

Nam-ra meets her friends at the rooftop in All of Us Are Dead

Even though things should be better for Nam-ra and Su-hyeok now, All of Us Are Dead season 2 will still present them with challenges. Firstly, Nam-ra cannot go back with Su-hyeok and her friends, as the quarantine zone will never allow someone infected with the Jonas virus to get in. Not only that but if Nam-ra were to be captured by the military, she would either be killed or turn into a test subject for experiments – this is what happened with Eun-jin In All of Us Are Dead season 1 after all.

Additionally, Nam-ra now sees focuses on protecting the other hambies who are being hunted down by the military in the wreckages of Hyosan. Nam-ra did not even address Su-hyeok directly upon their reunion at the rooftop, suggesting she currently has other priorities and cannot be with him and her friends just yet. How Nam-ra’s story in All of Us Are Dead season 2 will play out is difficult to say, but at least she and Su-hyeok now have a chance of being together once everything is resolved.
