All Marko’s Memories Locations In Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

Flint Marko, better known as the Sandman, has quite a few memories scattered around New York in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Marko’s Memories are crystals protected by a horde of sand creatures. These crystals house the Sandman’s memories and show up after completing the first two main story missions. Marko’s Memories are similar to the Black Cat Stakeouts from the first game in that they teach Spider-Man something about his enemies.

Each of these memories gives Peter and Miles a clue as to why Flint Marko attacked them earlier in the game. They show up as bright orange crystals on the map. You know you’ve found a crystal when you see a big cloud of sand hovering in the area. While the sand monsters are easy to beat, you must ensure they don’t overwhelm you. You can collect Marko’s Memories as both Peter and Miles. However, if you grab the crystals as Peter, you will get some dialogue about his past with the Sandman. Miles does not have the same lore-rich responses to the Memories.

All Marko’s Memories In Manhattan

Manhattan, the beating heart of New York City, has ten orange crystals that can be found in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. The south end of Central Park houses a Memory by the shore of a small pond. The water is a good tool for handling the sand monster swarms. Once you grab the crystal, you can continue south into Midtown.

There are two Memories in Midtown from Marvel Spider-Man 2‘s vast map. The first is on a rooftop on the east side of Midtown, shadowed by the Colexco skyscraper. It’s an excellent opportunity to knock enemies off the roof for a quick end to the fight. The second Marko’s Memory is in the southwest corner of Midtown in an alley between a brick building and a shiny silver building. Alleys are excellent practice for webbing enemies to walls and using environmental attacks.

When you are done in the alley, head down to the basketball courts in West Greenwich. This is an open area, so it will be a good test of your crowd-control skills. With that done, make your way to the border of Chinatown and the Financial District. Marko’s Memory is technically in Chinatown, but it could be in the Financial District if you need to zoom in on the map. The other Memory in Chinatown is in the northern-central part of the district. It’s on a rooftop to the west of the plus-shaped apartment complexes.

The Financial District has the most Memories of all districts in Spider-Man 2. The first Marko’s Memory in the Financial District is along the northern border in an alley between a pair of buildings that each look like two buildings smashed together. The second crystal is actually part of the main story. You will play Miles and save some civilians from a high-rise fire before finding the crystal and learning of Marko’s daughter.

After you collect that initial crystal, you can head to the southeast edge of the Financial District and fight the sand monsters gathered on the roof of a white building overlooking the water. From there, swing to the southernmost tip of Manhattan and use the water nearby to quickly defeat the sand monsters lurking in the little park.

All Marko’s Memories Outside Manhattan

Since Spider-Man 2 unleashes Peter and Miles onto the rest of New York City, you will have to collect crystals outside the grand island of Manhattan. There are four crystals outside Manhattan, but one only appears after you collect the other thirteen. The first of these Memories is north of the bridge leading into Williamsburg. The crystal is on top of a factory by a smoke stack.

Next, head over to the northwest corner of Little Odessa and check out the Loaves and Wishes Bakery factory near the water separating Little Odessa from Williamsburg. After that, it’s time to head to the heart of Downtown Brooklyn and check out the park’s western edge. This crystal is in an alley by the park and may result in a battle with both sand monsters and thugs attempting a break-in.

Once you have all these crystals, you can visit the western edge of Downtown Brooklyn and find the final crystal among concrete remains. You will teleport to a sandy world for a final battle against the sand monsters. Break the giant crystal while managing the horde, and you will get a brief side story to finish the Sandman plot line. With that, you will have all of Marko’s Memories collectibles in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
