All M. Night Shyamalan Movies & Shows Available On Netflix

Which of M. Night Shyamalan’s movies and TV shows are on Netflix? Although he’s best known for his supernatural and psychological thrillers, M. Night Shyamalan’s first couple of films were a far cry from his typical oeuvre. His directorial debut, Praying With Anger, is an introspective and semi-autobiographical drama that he also stars in and explores his Indian-American identity. His sophomore movie the comedy-drama Wide Awake which starred Rosie O’Donnell as a baseball-obsessed nun (yes, really).

Of course, it was his six-time Oscar-nominated supernatural horror The Sixth Sense that put M. Night Shyamalan on the map. He repeated his success with superhero thriller Unbreakable and sci-fi horror Signs before suffering a string of critical and/or commercial flops which included Lady In The Water, The Happening and The Last Airbender. Shyamalan soon clawed his way back to critical acclaim with the likes of The Visit, Split, the Fox mystery sci-fi show Wayward Pines and is currently enjoying yet more success as the producer of the psychological horror series Servant.

But which M. Night Shyamalan movies and shows – both the good and bad – are on Netflix? Unfortunately, USA and UK Netflix users will be disappointed to learn that none of Shyamalan’s works are available in those regions. However, that doesn’t mean Netflix subscribers in other regions can’t access his work. Here’s a list of all Shyamalan’s works that are on Netflix and which regions they are currently available in.

It’s unlikely M. Night Shyamalan’s latest project Servant will ever be on Netflix. The series stars Toby Kebbell (Kong: Skull Island) and Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under) as grieving couple Sean and Dorothy Turner who a buy a reborn doll after the death of their infant son and co-stars Nell Tiger Free and Rupert Grint of Harry Potter fame. It’s an Apple TV+ exclusive which means it can only be watched via Apple’s new streaming service.

Up next in M. Night Shyamalan’s career are two as-yet-untitled original thrillers set to be released by Universal Pictures in 2021 and 2023. Shyamalan and Universal teamed up on his last three films The Visit, Split, and Glass which were all big box office hits. Considering their partnership, it’s possible M. Night Shyamalan’s most recent movie releases will be available via NBCUniversal’s new streaming service Peacock – which launches in April 2020 – rather than Netflix.
