All American season 6 is expanding. The show, which premiered on The CW in 2018, is based on the true story of pro football player Spencer Paysinger. The lead character is Spencer James (Daniel Ezra), whose recruitment to Beverly Hills High kicks off the show’s exploration of the differing lives of the citizens of Crenshaw and Beverly Hills. The new season began airing on April 1 instead of the show’s usual Fall premiere date, as the episodes were delayed amid the 2023 Hollywood strikes while writers and then actors took to the picket lines to fight for fair pay.
Per Deadline, The CW has announced that All American season 6 is getting two additional episodes, bringing its total count to 15 episodes. Because of the season’s increased length, the show’s overall release dates have also been changed and the finale is now set to air on Monday, July 15. While this total is an increase from the season’s initial episode order of 13, this post-strike season is still the shortest-ever season of the show, as it is still one episode shy of the 16-episode count given to seasons 1 and 2.
More to come…
