All 27 Pokémon In New Pokémon Snap That Only Show Up At Night

Exploration aboard the NEO-ONE in New Pokémon Snap takes many forms as players explore the Lental region. There are plenty of diverse areas to visit when capturing unique Pokémon species in the Pokémon Snap sequel, including the beautiful Florio Nature Park and the Lental Seafloor. Many of these locations include both a night and day option for exploration. While certain Pokémon species can be spotted doing different things depending on the time of day, there are also Pokémon who will only be available to photograph after the sun goes down.

Currently, there are 214 Pokémon species available in New Pokémon Snap. Players will need to get 4 different photos of each Pokémon species, ranging from a 1-star to a 4-star photo, in order to complete each species’ entry. Unlike the original Pokémon Snap, which only included Pokémon from the Kanto region, New Pokémon Snap has opted to bring in species from each of the 8 different regions currently featured in the main Pokémon games.

While capturing photos of an adorable Eevee munching on a Fluffruit can be an exciting accomplishment, those who look closely while traveling through an area may catch sight of rare Mythical and Legendary Pokémon included in New Pokémon Snap. Currently, there are 10 of these rare encounters hidden in different areas throughout the Lental region. A few of these Mythical and Legendary Pokémon can only be found at night in the correct locations, and in some cases, aren’t available for a photo opportunity until after the main storyline has been completed.
