Alaskan Bush People: Browns Stick Together Amid Massive Wildfire & Pandemic

The Browns from Alaskan Bush People are sticking together amid a massive Washington State wildfire and a worldwide pandemic.

The Brown family is known for getting knocked down, only to get right back up again. The family is still working on establishing its own totally self-contained community. The Browns originally raised their children in the wilds of the Alaskan bush but had to leave all they knew after a run-in with the United State government. The Browns have chosen to remove themselves from the culture that they believe is impeding their development. The family has been known to stay so remote that they do not need to see outsiders for almost half a year.

This year has been hard for almost everyone and this includes the Brown family. However, according to Popculture, that entire family is “sticking together.” Fans watched as the Brown family was forced to evacuate the mountain as it burned around them. Fires started while the family was filming their Alaskan Bush People season. Producers noticed the smoke and flames and quickly radioed for help. Discovery Channel viewers watched the two daughters, Rain and Snowbird, film their daring escape. Those two reality stars spoke with the outlet, letting their fans know that they are trying their best to look on the brighter side of life.

Fans will recall that the Brown family has had fallen on some difficult times in the past. Viewers have watched a boat sink, seen the older Brown son enter rehab, and followed Ami Brown’s battle with lung cancer. Bird told readers, “It’s definitely been crazy — a lot has happened. …We are currently still evacuated.” According to the oldest daughter, there is no set timeline for returning home and relocation plans are currently “up in the air.” Even though the forest fires are dying down, it is still not safe to move back to the hilltop. Rain revealed that her family is only thinking of “safety first.” Fans also watched the entire family get a chance to save their animals. Rain revealed, “We definitely did get some damage, but not all hope is lost.”

According to the two siblings, the Brown family is hanging in there. However, there has been ongoing Alaskan Bush People family drama thanks to brother Bear Brown and his custody battle with his current girlfriend. Despite this, the girls claim that the family is still closer than ever, making sure to hug it out and keep the positive thoughts flowing.

Alaskan Bush People airs Sunday at 8 pm EST on Discovery Channel.
