Ahsoka Leads The 501st In Amazing Clone Wars Cosplay Recreation

Ahsoka Tano reunites with and leads the 501st in this amazing Star Wars: The Clone Wars cosplay recreation. Ahsoka had a close relationship with the 501st clone legion, seeing as the 501st were the legion that Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka commanded during the Clone Wars. As such, Ahsoka spent a significant amount of time living and fighting with the group. They became more than just fellow soldiers; they were friends. During her time in the Rebellion as Fulcrum, she continued her friendship with Captain Rex as the two worked together to undermine the Empire, with the latter joining the Phoenix Cell.

Now, The Rebel Legion on Instagram has joined the friends together once again. The clone outfits are perfect, their armor dirty and scuffed as though they have just been in battle. Two of them also include the Ahsoka face paint on their helmets, a nice reference to their last fight with the former Jedi Commander. The woman dressed as Ahsoka is wearing the outfit the character wore during the Siege of Mandalore and Order 66. These cosplayers bring the viewers back to the time when Ahsoka and the 501st fought together as comrades right before everything went wrong. It is a heartwarming reminder of the close relationship she had with the clones before Palpatine’s evil machinations tore apart everything Ahsoka loved.

The Fate Of Ahsoka & The 501st’s 332nd Company Is Tragic

When Ahsoka went to the Jedi Order to request help saving Mandalore, the Council informed her that they had bigger fish to fry – namely, that Chancellor Palpatine had been kidnapped and needed rescuing. However, the 332nd company of the 501st volunteered to serve under Ahsoka once again to rescue the planet from the clutches of Darth Maul. Unfortunately, after liberating Mandalore and capturing Darth Maul, Order 66 activated the inhibitor chips secretly implanted in all the clones. Despite their best efforts, Ahsoka and Rex were unable to save the other clones, and they all died when the ship crashed.

This ending was particularly tragic because Ahsoka was so close to the 501st. She stated several times during Order 66 that she wouldn’t kill the clones – especially after Rex explained to her that they were acting under the influence of inhibitor chips. Ahsoka’s pain was palpable as she walked away from the dead clones she had made the effort to respectfully bury. It was a devastating ending to friendships that had been some of the closest Ahsoka had ever had up until that point. With their battle-ready stances, these cosplayers do an excellent job of capturing the comradery that Ahsoka and the 501st clone legion shared up until that moment in The Clone Wars.
