Six new Acer gaming monitors were announced today, including four Predator Series models and two Nitro Series monitors. The release expands the major computing brand’s lineup of monitors, with these new gaming-optimized displays announced just before the holiday season is due to gets into full swing.

Acer’s existing monitor line was already a solid. However, with these new products, the company is attempting to appeal to a wider range of gamers, whether that be elite competitors or everyday players. Accordingly, each of these new monitors have features aimed at creating the best gaming environment possible.

The most luxurious model in Acer’s new line is the $1,000 Predator X34 GS. This is a 34-inch curved display that’s designed to deliver clear viewing, regardless of what angle it is seen from. The monitor offers up to a 180HZ refresh rate, a 0.5-millisecond response time, and a flexible stand that provides the ability to adjust tilt, swivel, and height. What’s more, the Predator X34 GS has a pair of integrated seven-watt speakers that resolve the need for external speakers, for those looking to get fully immersed in the gaming experience.

The rest of the new lineup boasts an assortment of prices and features for all kinds of gamers. For more budget setups, the $280 Nitro XV272 LV offers fast performance with an up to 165Hz refresh rate. The Nitro XV272U KV is more expensive at $399, but offers an up to 170Hz refresh rate and an Agile-Splendor IPS panel. The Predator series also has the $430 XB253Q GW which, for less than $50 more than the Nitro, offers a whopping 280Hz refresh rate, along with an ergonomic design.

There are a few other higher-priced options among Acer’s new monitors, too. The $550 Predator XB273U NV is one of the first gaming monitors to be certified by Eyesafe, meaning it can selectively filter out blue light while keeping crisp, vivid color quality. The more expensive $900 Predator XB323U GX has a VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification, with the monitor able to adjust dynamically to what’s happening in certain scenes to achieve deep black levels and awe-inspiring highlights.

With these new monitors rolling out as soon as December 2020, they seem well-equipped to be ideal presents for gamers during this holiday season. There’s certainly some expensive models that may turn more budget-minded gamers away, but with this release, Acer seems to have covered all of its bases by providing options at nearly every price point. Regardless of the level of gamer, there should be something for everyone from this roster of Acer monitors.
