A Quiet Place Part II has proven to be a popular release, bringing the same level of tension and nerves as the original. Once again, the movie brought together a fantastic cast, with many of the main actors from the original movie returning while also adding several new characters and expanding the world.
Comprised of a talented cast of actors who are known from various different television shows and movies, outside of creeping around in the post-apocalypse, what else have these silver-screen stars been in?
John Krasinski (The Office)
John Krasinski only has a small role within this sequel in the early flashback scenes. However, he is still very hands-on in the movie considering that he both wrote and directed it. However, on-screen, John reprises his role as Lee Abbott, who is shown at the start of the apocalypse trying to protect his family.
Fans likely best know him from a totally different type of environment as an actor in The Office. He was one of the breakout stars of the comedy series, playing Jim Halpert, who ended up being one of the funniest and most memorable characters in the show.
Okieriete Onaodowan (Hamilton)
Another actor who only has a small role in the movie is Okieriete Onaodowan. He’s also involved in the early scenes during the flashback, playing Ronnie. He’s a policeman who bravely stands up to the alien creature in a bid to do his job to the best of his ability despite his fear.
However, Okieriete is actually best known for his work on stage. He was part of the original cast of Hamilton, which has become one of the greatest musicals of all time. His performances as Hercules Mulligan and James Madison can be seen on Disney+.
Scoot McNairy (Narcos: Mexico)
Scoot McNairy plays one of the human villains in A Quiet Place Part II as the Marina Man. He is the leader of the group that hides around the boats, happily taking advantage of any travelers that come by, ambushing them and aiming to take what they have.
It’s a creepy role, but it’s one that Scoot does a great job at. However, outside of this horror movie, he is best known for being involved inNarcos: Mexico. He plays Agent Walt Breslin in the show, which is one of the heavily featured roles in the series.
Djimon Hounsou (Guardians Of The Galaxy)
Djimon Hounsou was another new character that was added to the cast for A Quiet Place Part II, although he was actually a nice person who tried to help others, unlike the Marina Man. He is known as the Man on the Island in the movie, and he is someone who helps Emmett and Regan get to the radio station.
Outside of A Quiet Place Part II, a lot of moviegoers will know Djimon for being involved in the MCU. He portrays Korath the Pursuer in Guardians Of The Galaxy, which is a role that he reprised in Captain Marvel, as well.
Wayne Duvall (Prisoners)
Wayne Duvall takes a supporting role within A Quiet Place Part II, playing Roger, a grocery store owner. He’s shown at the start of the movie before the creatures hit Earth and is clearly someone that is well respected within the area.
Another popular and thrilling movie he has a role in is Prisoners. This excellent thriller sees a child go missing as law enforcement and her father do everything to locate her. In this one, Wayne plays Captain Richard O’Malley, who has to make some important decisions in regards to the case throughout the movie.
Cillian Murphy (Peaky Blinders)
Cillian Murphy was the major addition to the cast for this sequel, and he brought a great new character into the movie as Emmett. Being another survivor, he ends up working alongside the Abbott family, and, despite not initially being sure about helping his friends, he ends up going on a great adventure with Regan.
He is an actor who has been involved in plenty of major movies throughout his career, but he is actually best known from the television world. Cillian gets to play Tommy Shelby inPeaky Blinders where he is the leader of the notorious English group that is involved in drugs, arms, and gambling.
Noah Jupe (Wonder)
Noah Jupe is one of the Abbott family members who is put through some serious pain in this movie due to the fact he steps into a bear trap early on. However, this movie sees him grow in confidence as the story progresses, proving himself to be resilient.
Noah is quickly rising in the industry, with his performances always being brilliant. He plays Jack in the movie Wonder, which is an emotional story about a boy who is born with a facial deformity who battles through his situation, with Jack becoming one of his close friends.
Millicent Simmonds (Wonderstruck)
Millicent Simmonds really steps up in the sequel, once again portraying Regan Abbott in what essentially becomes the lead role. The whole movie is structured around her and the journey she takes to the radio in order to try and destroy the alien creatures and save everybody.
She has been terrific in both movies, and Millicent is quickly proving herself to be a fantastic upcoming actress. Her first role in the movie Wonderstruck is where some fans may know her, which sees her appear in black and white as she runs away in a bid to find her idol.
Emily Blunt (Mary Poppins Returns)
Emily Blunt is one of the lead actors within A Quiet Place Part II, once again taking on the role of Evelyn Abbott, the strong-willed mother who has to do whatever it takes in order to keep her family alive, no matter it takes.
Emily brings a passionate performance to the movie, as she does with every role she takes on. The actress has been part of lots of major movies, including Mary Poppins Returns. This was a huge role for her, as Emily got the chance to play the iconic character of Mary Poppins herself in this Disney sequel.
