This horror flick definitely leans towards being a straight-up thriller, but there’s nothing more terrifying than alien creatures.

Bird Box has similar themes, as they are safe unless they come face-to-face with the creatures. There are thrills, riveting drama, and a family trying to stay alive through horrifying adversity. It’s a perfect next watch.

The Silence (2019)

Netflix’s The Silence is actually eerily similar to the plot of Krasinski’s work. Hidden creatures have evolved into dangerous killers, and the movie follows 16-year-old Ally, who has lost her hearing. She tries to lead her family to a haven where they can find refuge.

This movie, though, focuses on Ally’s other heightened senses, and the family moves to the countryside where they can live a quiet life away from the creatures. With the legendary Stanley Tucci and Kiernan Shipka, it’s a similar watch.

Alone (2020)

For fans that can’t get enough of Emily Blunt’s character, Evelyn, and her strength and determination, Alone will fuel fans with suspense as they watch Jessica travel through the wilderness – which also ties into the riveting survival of A Quiet Place. In this new movie, the monsters are human.
