What Ezra Has Been Up To Will Mark A New Beginning For Star Wars
One doesn’t keep Ezra’s location and activities a secret without having an extremely compelling reason. In-universe, Ezra has been missing from the known galaxy for at least a decade. Ahsoka made a promise to find him, but if Ezra had access to the necessary vehicle or navigation to return home, he would’ve done so on his own. The same could be said for Thrawn, though the Grand Admiral has more reason to remain in hiding and amass forces. Ezra either entered a situation that required his help or was called to the Unknown Regions by the Force.
A threat that requires Ezra’s attention while war is being waged against a Galactic Empire is bigger than anything Star Wars has done before. What Ezra has discovered and how he’s grown as a Jedi could make the area of uncharted space he’s occupying a frequent region in later stories. Grand Admiral Thrawn will be the villain of Filoni’s The Mandalorian movie, but if the conflict Ezra is involved isn’t directly related to the Chiss, then it will extend beyond the New Republic Era. Ezra Bridger is the key to the future of Star Wars, and Ahsoka will lay the foundation of everything to come.
