A Million Little Things: The Main Characters, Ranked By Likability

ABC’s hit show called A Million Little Things explores the lives of a group of friends as they journey through life and deal with their problems. Things like divorce, suicide, and tragedy befall the characters, and the actions taken by them determine their likability. Some of the characters fans hope never leave the show, while others they wish would be gone from the series for good.

It can be hard to determine their likability, however, the basis for it is the character’s personality combined with their actions in certain situations. Some were meant to rise to the top, while others have continued on a downward spiral since the start.

Eddie Saville

A Million Little Things: The Main Characters, Ranked By Likability

Eddie Saville has a pretty horrible track record as he cheated on his wife, had a baby with another woman, and watched his friend drown because he was too intoxicated to do anything about it.

This doesn’t make him very likable, even if he has tried to make amends and repair his relationship with his wife and son. What sent him to the bottom though was the fact that he has almost broken his sobriety several times, and the worst was on the day when he was supposed to renew his vows.

Sophie Dixon

A Million Little Things ABC

Sophie Dixon is a teenager whose father passed away and mother cheated, but it doesn’t excuse her actions. She smashed all of Eddie’s prize guitars out of anger, decided not to live at home because she couldn’t stand her mother, and throws temper tantrums every time something doesn’t go her way.

This character might be transitioning into adulthood and taking steps to right her wrongs, but she’s still not very likable as some things cannot be forgotten.

Regina Howard

Regina Howard in A Million Little Things

Regina is ranked so low on this list because she can be very wishy-washy on her decisions, and tends to take out her anger on Rome.

She didn’t even see Rome spiraling into depression, and then changed her mind several times about them starting a family. Regina is part of the problem in her relationship with Rome when she should be a shoulder for him to lean on in his time of need.

Jon Dixon

A Million Little Things ABC Ron Livingston

The first episode shocked viewers as they witnessed Jon Dixon jumping off a balcony to his death, but this doesn’t make him unlikeable. He was ranked further down due to the fact that he left his family in debt, kept secrets from his wife, and left them to pick up the pieces.

However, he is not at the bottom due to the fact that he was such a great friend to everyone and helped them through some tough times in their lives. He encouraged Gary to fight his cancer, was the best father to his kids, and helped Eddie reach sobriety which was no easy feat.

Theo Saville

Theo and Eddie in A Million Little Things

Theo Saville is just an all-around great little dude, even if he does have his faults. He follows the rules to the letter and is a light in his parents’ lives.

He does only rank at number six due to the fact that he has trouble sharing what he is feeling as he overhears all of the bad things his parents discuss. It is one thing to eavesdrop, and it is another to lash out because you are too afraid to tell your parents the truth.

Delilah Dixon

Delilah Dixon in A Million Little Things

Delilah is an angel, but her affair with Eddie is what made her less likable to viewers. She tried to keep it hidden even after she discovered she was pregnant with Eddie’s child, and it was a horrible thing to do to her children.

However, she is like her late-husband Jon as she is someone that everyone calls when they need moral support as they face their own demons.

Rome Howard

Roma and Regina Howard in A Million Little Things

Rome is a great friend who is ready to drop everything the moment someone needs his help, but he is terrible at asking for it. He was going to commit suicide if he hadn’t received the call from Gary, and while it has sent him on a journey of self-discovery, it is something that no one will ever forget.

It also wasn’t fair of him to expect Regina to take a new baby the same day she was mourning the loss of Eve’s child, as everyone handles their grief differently. His likability does rise as he is someone even viewers would want to hang out with due to his personality and caring nature.

Katherine Kim

Katherine and Eddie in A Million Little Things

Katherine is a strong and independent woman, and an amazing female lead, who isn’t afraid to tell it how it is, which is part of what makes her such a great attorney.

She had Theo by herself, as Eddie was drunk while she was delivering her baby, and then found a way to forgive her husband after his infidelity. Katherine can be a bit harsh at times, but she is never afraid to stand up for what is right and speak her mind to change her situation.

Maggie Bloom

Maggie Bloom in A Million Little Things

Maggie Bloom is intelligent, witty, and is always ready to use her skills as a psychologist to help her friends when they need a little help in understanding their feelings.

She might have been at the top, but what hurt her was her inability to help herself. She chose to rely on Eric for emotional support, instead of seeing a psychologist herself who could assist her following the death of her brother and cancer diagnosis.

Gary Mendez

Gary Mendez and Maggie Bloom in A Million Little Things

Gary is the most likable character on the show because he is hilarious and the show wouldn’t be the same without him. He has his flaws, but he doesn’t let them define him as he uses them to make jokes and see the brighter side of every situation.

Some might not like him for his use of cancer groups to pick up women, although, he never would have met Maggie had he not pursued her in a meeting.
