90 Day: The Last Resort: Molly Fell Out Of Love With Kelly (How It All Happened)

90 Day: The Last Resort star Molly Hopkins has been telling her fellow cast members she is no longer in love with Kelly Brown. Molly, a 48-year-old single mom of two from Georgia, found love with Luis Mendez when she was vacationing in the Dominican Republic. Molly then brought Luis to the U.S. on 90 Day Fiancé season 5; however, their marriage ended in six months. Molly didn’t give up on love and was successful when she found New York City cop Kelly in her DMs. The two had a strong relationship on 90 Day: The Single Life season 1.

Their relationship changed when Kelly retired and relocated to Georgia to be closer to Molly. 90 Day: The Last Resort season 1 saw Molly and Kelly arriving at the Isla Bella Beach Resort filming location, separately. According to online reports, they had split close to Thanksgiving 2022. While the other couples came to receive therapy to save their relationships, Molly and Kelly’s relationship is so fractured that it’s reached beyond the point of fixing even as the show’s team of professionals keep trying.

Molly Hopkins Lost That Loving Feeling

Costar Big Ed Brown asked Molly why she said she didn’t love Kelly. “I didn’t say I don’t love him, I said I’m no longer in love with him,” Molly explained. She was told by Jovi Dufren that she was hurting Kelly when she said that and was pushing him away. Jovi asked whether Molly respects that Kelly wants to relax now that he’s retired. “I am a mother, I am a businesswoman. You want me to come relax with you, but what can you take off my plate to compensate for that,” Molly replied. Kelly sitting at home and doing nothing is a turn-off to Molly.

She has complained that Kelly lives in an “expensive” apartment, but he didn’t think of putting a bed in to make it comfortable for when Molly visits with her kids. Molly claimed Kelly is not financially contributing to the relationship. Molly doesn’t know what’s next for her but knows she has no fight left in her with Kelly. Every time Molly wants to have a conversation with Kelly, he puts a wall up and shuts down. Molly expects there to be a clear line of communication between her and Kelly. She sees no hope for them if Kelly doesn’t communicate better.

Is Molly Being Too Hard On Kelly?

Molly believes the Kelly that she first met is not the same Kelly who moved to Georgia. She is unsure of whether things will ever get back to the way they were. All Kelly wants is a connection with his partner, and fails to comprehend where he stands with Molly. Her saying she has love for him but is not in love with him is Molly giving Kelly mixed signals, a feeling of false hope. Kelly claims it was she who dragged him to therapy after their split, which was wrong on Molly’s part.

Will Molly & Kelly Stay Together?

Molly wants Kelly to admit the things he’s done wrong in the relationship, but as Kelly declared in 90 Day: The Last Resort season 1, episode 7, “there’s no coming back” for him and Molly. The show was filmed in January 2023, and the couple has not indicated that they’re still together like the other cast members, such as Yara Zaya and Jovi or Big Ed and Liz Woods. Besides, Molly and Kelly are in an alleged physical altercation case involving her daughter Olivia Hopkins. Unfortunately, it looks like this is where Molly and Kelly part ways for good to look for happiness elsewhere.

90 Day: The Last Resort airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EST on TLC.
