Viewers will remember Usman, aka “Sojaboy” from Before the 90 Days season 4 when he dated and later married Lisa Hamme. However, the two had an explosive relationship and the pair got a lot of criticism from fans. Usman was accused of using Lisa and the 90 Day Fiancé franchise to further his music career and Lisa was called out for being controlling and extremely jealous. Lisa and Usman divorced earlier this year. Now, Usman has moved on to a new relationship with Kim.
According to EW, Kim first contacted Usman because she was a fan of his music. But after a while, Kim and Usman decided to pursue a romantic relationship. Usman was wary of 50-year-old Kim because of the similarities with his ex-wife Lisa, and he invited her to visit him in Tanzania, where he will be living while filming a new music video. The couple’s first meeting is sure to be eventful, and fans can’t wait for the debut of season 5 this December.
In the past year, Usman has been releasing new music, so it’s not too surprising that music fan Kim was drawn to him. The divorced mother of one has a mixed-race son named Jamal, so hopefully, she will be more aware of racial issues than Lisa was. Jamal recently graduated from college, and from the looks of Kim‘s Instagram, she couldn’t be prouder. Family is clearly important to Kim, whose father unfortunately passed away earlier this year.
But Kim seems to keep a positive attitude, and her social media is filled with inspirational quotes. Between her son, mother, friends, and adorable cat named Puffy, Kim already seems to be cut from a different cloth than Lisa. Perhaps, she and Usman will make a better match. Many fans think 90 Day Fiancé relationships with large age gaps are inherently doomed, but there’s still the chance that Usman and Kim are the real deal.

The two men follow each other on Instagram as well, which suggests the couple has stayed together after the show. Hopefully, fans won’t get a repeat of Usman and Lisa’s relationship in season 5, and he and Kim will find actual happiness.
