90 Day Fiancé: Local Fans Bash Mike For Hiding Ukrainian Community From Natalie

90 Day Fiancé: Local Fans Bash Mike For Hiding Ukrainian Community From Natalie

When Mike Youngquist and Natalie Mordovtseva were first introduced on 90 Day Fiancé season 7, fans didn’t warm to the mercurial Ukrainian right away. But now, based on how events unfolded once the K1 visa process started, fans want Natalie to dump Mike and get herself out of the toxic relationship. While there are numerous reasons why fans think Mike is the problem, Washington locals have more to say about him and his hometown of Sequim.

The couple’s relationship was not on steady ground when Natalie arrived in Washington, and things haven’t improved since. Fans initially bashed Natalie for constantly complaining, but it soon became clear to many viewers that Natalie was right to feel uncomfortable in Mike’s home. He hasn’t done much to accommodate Natalie, and she’s had to put up with Mike’s cold, dank house and doesn’t even have anywhere to unpack her things. Above all else, the former city dweller feels isolated and alone in her relationship and the small town where she now lives.

Sequim, Wash., where Mike and Natalie live, is a small town a few hours away from Seattle. It may seem completely out of Natalie’s comfort zone, but locals from the region say Mike’s keeping her out of the loop. Washington has a large Ukrainian population, with four of the top 20 communities of Ukrainian-born citizens located in Mike’s state. According to The Washington Post, one of the largest Ukrainian immigrant populations is located in the Seattle region, and Washington has resettled more Ukrainians than any other state in the past 10 years.

While Seattle isn’t exactly next door to Sequim, it’s not that far either, and fans think Mike is wrong to not share that information with Natalie. They question why he doesn’t take her into the city more and try to help her be a part of the Ukrainian community there. If Natalie had friends that she could relate to, she wouldn’t feel so isolated and alone. The fans from Washington emphasize just how rural and remote Sequim is, which is hard for a city-person to get used to.

It all comes down to how much does Mike care about Natalie and making sure she’s happy and comfortable? Fans have doubts about his commitment to his fiancé, and after a recent episode, they think Mike’s more interested in his hairdresser than Natalie. He doesn’t seem very concerned with Natalie’s happiness in general, which makes fans wonder why he even brought her over to America in the first place. If Natalie was truly Mike’s number-one priority, he would be helping her find a community to make her feel more secure and at home.

90 Day Fiancé fans are hoping that Mike and Natalie don’t decide to get married, but unfortunately, that’s not what the evidence suggests. Proof of their marriage has been uncovered and fans think Natalie is pregnant based on her odd social media behavior. But if they did indeed get married, it hopefully means that Mike has made Natalie more of a priority in his life and the couple is on the road to a happy relationship.
