The former 90 Day Fiance star Larissa Lima Dos Santos is promoting herself to be on the cover of Maxim magazine. Interestingly, she has also archived most of her pictures from Instagram. It looks like she wants to have the best impression on the new people that would stumble upon her social media. Maxim is one of the most popular lifestyle magazines, and it has been in circulation since 1995. In 2019, the 90 Day Fiance alum Darcey Silva asked her fans to vote for her so that she could grace the magazine’s cover. She was competing with thousands of other models.
Paola Mayfield, who recently became an American citizen, also tried to be the face of the magazine. She was looking forward to boosting her modeling career; she even won the first round. Unfortunately, she couldn’t win the second round. It now looks like another 90 Day Fiance celeb is looking to kick-start her modeling career. Larissa has participated in the contest for the year 2021. She appears to be doing great and is listed in third place in her group. To win the competition, she would need votes from her 90 Day Fiance fans. If Larissa wins the Maxim Cover Girl Contest, she will get the grand prize of $25,000.
She would also get a chance to be photographed by legendary photographer Gilles Bensimon and be the face of the upcoming Maxim magazine cover. Such a photoshoot can get Larissa worldwide recognition. Voting for the top 15 ends on April 29. It looks like the Brazilian bombshell is making changes to her Instagram to attract more people. She has archived most of her IG posts, and just six pictures are visible at the moment. Since Larissa received negative comments on her fake abs picture, she has decided to delete that picture as well. Many fans are inspired to see Colt Johnson’s ex-wife compete with so many good-looking models. They commented things like, “She is thriving and hustling like everyone else should be doing instead of being nosy,” and “wow.. she did it.” However, it looks like she isn’t actively campaigning to be on the cover. She isn’t talking about the contest on her Instagram as frequently as she should. Perhaps, she got influenced by the dismissive comments written by some fans.
A fan criticized the contest and commented, “Trust me- you don’t need to be famous or even attractive to enter.” Somebody else thinks Larissa doesn’t have any extraordinary qualifications or hasn’t achieved anything great to be on the cover. A few women claimed that they took part in the contest, and it is nothing but “timewaster.” A 90 Day Fiance fan, who made it to the finals a couple of times, claimed that this contest is only organized to drive traffic to Maxim’s website.
