90 Day Fiancé: Jovi Craves A “Double Life” In Marriage With Yara (He’s Acting Shady)

90 Day Fiancé: Jovi Craves A “Double Life” In Marriage With Yara (He’s Acting Shady)

Jovi Dufren from the 90 Day Fiancé franchise seems interested in leading two different lives. The 33-year-old New Orleans native is most known for his relationship with Yara Zaya and their countless problems. Recently, the pair debuted on the therapy-focused spin-off, 90 Day: The Last Resort, showcasing their ongoing issues. Yara revealed that she had been taking birth control pills because she believed Jovi would make her pregnant against her will. Jovi felt that Yara was completely unreasonable for hiding things from him and spewing personal affairs in front of reality TV cameras.

Jovi and Yara had many arguments after the birth control drama unfolded. Initially, the American man relegated himself to alcohol and spent the entire night drinking with Angela Deem. Later, he planned to go to the strip club with other male co-stars, Asuelu Pulaa and Kelly Brown. Yara felt heartbroken by her husband’s behavior and got much support from 90 Day Fiancé fans. However, her mother-in-law, Gwen, didn’t support her and blamed her lack of openness. During a therapy session on 90 Day: The Last Resort, Jovi’s mother told Yara to share feelings with her son.

Jovi Wants To Work Away From Home

Most fans think it isn’t Yara’s fault for taking the birth control pills but Jovi’s. According to a Reddit thread (via Cantstress_thisenuff), many viewers believe the American reality star’s need to live a “double life” is causing him marital issues. Jovi’s job is one of the first reasons that suggests he craves duality. The Louisiana resident works as an underwater robotics engineer and spends much time away from home, working, partying, and drinking. Recently, Jovi got a job offer close to his house but didn’t take it. His actions hint that he wants to continue being away from home for months to do whatever he wants without telling Yara.

Jovi’s Obsession With Alcohol & Strip Clubs

Most good men quit their single-life shenanigans after tying the knot. However, Jovi has continued living two different lives for a long time. Jovi married Yara in 2020 on 90 Day Fiancé season 8 and welcomed an adorable baby girl later that year. Despite that, he didn’t improve himself and continued his carefree lifestyle. Yara is right to expect her husband to grow and mature. Unfortunately, Jovi hasn’t shown a significant improvement yet. The dad of one is still addicted to drinking, partying, and staying up late. His inclination toward strip clubs is another red flag, proving he wants the best of both worlds.

Jovi Is Accused Of “Controlling His Timeline”

Many fans recently took to Reddit to discuss how Jovi is “controlling his timeline so it can’t be traced by his wife.” If he starts a job near his home and becomes a regular husband, he won’t get the free time to do the other things he likes. Jovi probably wants to stay away so he can enjoy the benefits of being married to his Ukrainian wife and avoid the emergent responsibilities. A Reddit user even speculated, “I also believe Jovi cheats on his wife by paying for s*x acts with some of his stripper chicks.” Hopefully, all the claims made by many 90 Day Fiancé viewers aren’t true.

90 Day Fiancé airs Sundays at 8 p.m. EST on TLC.
