Jorge Nava made a return to the 90 Day Fiancé franchise via 90 Day Bares All to reveal how easy it was for him to lose weight while being in prison. The reality TV star who featured on season 4 with Russian ex-wife Anfisa Arkhipchenko went from 318 pounds to 185 pounds during his prison sentence. In September 2018, Jorge received a two-and-a-half-year sentence after being arrested for drug offenses. However, Jorge got an early discharge in May 2020 and shocked 90 Day Fiancé fans with his weight loss makeover.
Back in April 2020, before his release from jail, Jorge claimed the changes he made to his lifestyle and the attention he received due to the immense weight loss caused his split with Anfisa. The 90 Day Fiancé marriage ended when Jorge filed for divorce in August 2020. In April this year, Jorge welcomed baby daughter Zara with girlfriend Rhoda Blua. They are now expecting a second baby as well. Jorge revisited his time behind bars in the finale of 90 Day Bares All, in conversation with Shaun Robinson.
As per a preview posted by ET, Jorge admitted that while entering prison was a “jaw-dropping” moment and that “it’s hard, it’s tough, like, you get depressed,” it’s not a dangerous place. When questioned about his new physique, Jorge confessed why losing 128 pounds was easy while being in prison. “It’s mainly all in the diet,” declared Jorge. “You can say vegan, you can say kosher. For religious reasons, you can have a special meal, whatever it is, they actually do accommodate that,” Jorge revealed to a shocked Shaun, as well as his 90 Day Fiancé co-stars Colt Johnson, Debbie Johnson, and Vanessa Guerra.
As per Jorge, one can also order something like “McDonald’s, or like, all these other things” once a month. “I was at a special unit where all the people that were there were working,” Jorge shared. Since it was a working part of the prison, the inmates had “a little more than the average.” He mentioned how they had a big screen TV, a couch, and could roam around freely without being locked up. What surprised pet lovers Colt and Debbie further was Jorge’s admission about the inmates also having cats at one point and how they were taking care of kittens and bottle-feeding them. “We even had a popcorn machine,” Jorge recalled in addition to there being video games and a locker full of movies.
Some of the extra pounds Jorge lost back then have come back due to family life, but he says he feels healthy. When Rhoda was pregnant and she would have cravings, Jorge couldn’t see himself having a salad as she enjoyed a burger. After Jorge’s prison jumpsuit photo went viral, 90 Day Fiancé fans wondered if he was using his revenge body to get under Anfisa’s skin. But with Anfisa becoming a successful fitness professional herself and Jorge dreaming of having six more kids with Rhoda, viewers are happy to see the former couple thriving by letting bygones be bygones.
