Jihoon Lee from 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way has been described as unemployed, lazy, and dishonest since the beginning of this season, and he’s now admitted to being a “loser”. His relationship with wife Deavan Clegg has its rough patches. They have problems almost every time they share screen space. His behavior just doesn’t seem to improve. However, the latest episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way hinted that Jihoon might just consider mending his ways.
An Internet romance that stretched from America to South Korea brought Jihoon and Deavan together for TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé. The couple welcomed a beautiful baby boy named Taeyang. Deavan left everything behind to start a new life and family with Jihoon in Seoul. Jihoon, with his history of fake promises, ensured Deavan that he was ready to make it all up to her for good. As per tradition, things didn’t work out as planned. The apartment that Deavan Clegg booked online was not a nice place, and Jihoon was to blame for failing to look at the place in person. Deavan had paid for all the expenses, including the visa, although Jihoon claimed to have a well-paying job. However, a recent argument between the couple revealed that Jihoon was not too keen on full-time jobs as he needed time for his naps. Plus, he was in debt and giving all his meager earnings to his mom. Deavan once again threatened to call things off and Jihoon made his way to his parent’s house for some motherly advice.
Jihoon is lashing out at fans who inquire about his job. He has called them “ugly”. He has also been confessing that he’s been feeling “sad and desperate”, according to Reality TV World. He admits to lying to Deavan about having more money than he actually has. He mentions how, although he knows about her sacrificing everything, he keeps spending all his money on himself: “I haven’t sacrificed anything. I spent it on drinking and going out,” the reality TV star reveals. Surprisingly, his mother sympathizes with his behavior by saying how young people are supposed to be reckless, before shocking fans with, “Tell her all Korean guys are like that.” Justifying her advice by telling him how men always lie to women in order to woo them, she seems to be supportive of Jihoon’s problematic behavior. Jihoon soon ramps up the 90 Day Fiancé drama by getting emotional about Deavan going back to America and never coming back, but his mother consoles him by saying, “a man shouldn’t cry.”
His confessions didn’t stop there. He also said: “I am almost 30 years old. I have no money. I feel like a loser”. He admitted this in his confessional on Monday’s episode of the relationship reality show. The 31-year-old has a debt of $30,000 to pay off and will have to work extra hard to clear it while supporting his new family. The preview for the next episode shows Deavan and Jihoon get into a major altercation yet again, with him swearing and asking his wife to go back to America.
Judging by her Instagram posts, it does look like Deavan has gone back home and fans of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way are evidently, predicting a separation. 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way airs Mondays at 9 pm EST on TLC.
