90 Day Fiancé stars Tarik Myers and Hazel Cagalitan have been married for almost two years, and are now in a custody battle with Hazel’s ex, because they want to bring her son to the U.S. Fans met Tarik and Hazel in 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 2, when Virginia Beach man Tarik flew to the Philippines to meet and propose to Hazel, a mother of one. Tarik and Hazel, who call themselves “Tarzel,” also appeared on 90 Day Fiancé season 8. The couple got married in June 2020, in a sweet wedding that included Tarik’s daughter Ari and was officiated by his best friend, Angela. However, the couple had a very public split on Instagram towards the end of 2021. Despite this, they were back together by New Year’s Eve.
Fans don’t know much about Hazel’s son Harry or his father. However, Hazel revealed that one of the things that initially attracted her to Tarik was how he took care of his daughter. Ari bonded with Hazel the second she moved into their house in 90 Day Fiancé season 8. Fans of Tarik and Hazel have said that one of their favorite parts of the season was watching Hazel get close to Tarik’s daughter. However, many viewers have been wondering where Harry is, and why he hasn’t joined his mother in the U.S. yet. Finally, fans have their answer.
On a recent episode of 90 Day Diaries, Hazel revealed that she and Harry‘s father had an agreement that Harry could come live with her and Tarik once she got settled in the U.S. However, Hazel explained that Harry’s father had apparently changed his mind. Therefore, she and Tarik are currently working on getting a court petition notarized for Harry to come to Virginia Beach. In the episode, Tarik explained the complicated process of getting Harry to the U.S. Since Hazel’s ex changed his mind, “Tarzel” is going to have to get a petition notarized, and then “do something with the Secretary of State of Virginia,” according to Tarik. Then, the petition will be sent to the Philippines, and Harry’s dad will be ordered to appear in court to discuss the custody arrangement.
The process of bringing Hazel’s son Harry from the Philippines to the U.S. after her ex changed his mind is going to be long and complex. Luckily, Tarik’s friend Angela is a lawyer. Their episode ended with Angela getting involved, leaving the couple in high spirits, although not much is known yet about the next steps in bringing Harry to Virginia Beach. Neither Tarik or Hazel are very active on social media. Therefore, most of what fans know about them is from any 90 Day Fiancé spin-offs that they appear in. Because neither of them post often on social media, fans still don’t know what caused their public split at the end of last year. The two stars unfollowed each other on Instagram, and Tarik was continuously changing his bio to varying cryptic messages that were supposedly aimed at Hazel.
Regardless of why they split up at the end of 2020, lots of fans were likely relieved to see them on-screen together in 90 Day Diaries. Not only were they together, but they are clearly going strong. In the episode, Tarik was clearly very invested in helping his wife bring her son to the U.S., and the couple seemed to be thriving. Viewers have also been curious about Harry’s whereabouts, so many of the couple’s followers are glad to finally have some clarity on the situation with Hazel’s son. Hopefully, the next time viewers see Tarik, Hazel and Ari, on 90 Day Fiancé or a spin-off, Harry will be in the U.S., and they will be a family of four.
