Despite David Murphey’s insistence that these belong to other people using Lana’s picture, fans are skeptical. Could the Ukranian beauty be scamming Murphey and still dating other men?
Previously on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, Murphey traveled to Ukraine to visit Lana, his virtual girlfriend of seven years. The two met through a dating website, where Murphey was specifically looking for Russian and Ukranian girls to date. He wrote in a Q&A on Instagram, “I stopped dating in the USA 15 years ago. Every time I did, I would start thinking about Ukraine, so I stopped so my heart was free just in case I went to Ukraine. I have dated well over 100 women in Ukraine.” After traveling to Ukraine to finally meet Lana, Murphey was stood up by her five times, leading fans to believe that she was not a real person. When they met at last, Murphey proposed and they became engaged. However, they have since broken off the engagement, and Lana’s dating site profiles have been emerging.
These profiles include a screenshot that a fan posted on Reddit, where Lana is seen posing in a park with her name listed as “Juicy Sveta.” Speculation is that Lana may be a nickname for Svetlana. Murphey even admits in the leaked tell-all that he knows Lana used the dating websites to increase her chance of getting a visa. Rumor has it that producers of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days tracked Lana down with the help of the website, which was hurting due to bad publicity from the show. The creators of the website may have actually paid Lana to go on the show, to alleviate the floods of fans claiming the website was a scam.

Murphey claims that he and Lana had video chatted multiple times before meeting, but he also acknowledges that he sent her money and gifts many times over the years. He remains adamant that his relationship with Lana is real and not based on money, but fans are convinced that Lana is in it for the money, visa or both. It has also been revealed on the show that Lana doesn’t speak English, leading fans to wonder how this relationship was built in the first place. Another post on Reddit speculates that Lana might not have even been the one writing to Murphey, as many dating sites take pictures of women to set up profiles, and then employ college students to write the messages. Ukraine is a poor country, and this could easily be the case for Lana.
As of right now, Murphey says the two are not engaged, so perhaps Lana is free to date other men anyway. However, her past behavior leaves fans with some serious questions about her relationship with Murphy.
