90 Day Fiancé: Deavan Makes Shocking Claims Against TLC Amid Alina Scandal

Former 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way cast member Deavan Clegg wants TLC to “do better” after several racially insensitive posts by Alina Kozhevnikova have been discovered by fans. Russian woman Alina who stars in 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5 with American boyfriend Caleb Greenwood apologized for using a variation of the N-word on Instagram. But soon enough more posts from Alina’s socials were posted online, which showed her taking digs at the Muslim religion and Asian community. After another shocking post in which Alina used the racist slur seven times became viral on Sunday, Deavan shared her thoughts about why TLC will keep Alina as they did with 90 Day Fiancé regular Big Ed Brown.

Utah-based Deavan debuted on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 1 with her now estranged husband Jihoon Lee. The series followed Deavan and Jihoon dealing with a new baby, financial struggles, and cultural and language differences over two seasons. However, Deavan and Jihoon had a nasty split, the details of which are still murky as ever. Deavan had accused Jihoon of allegedly hurting her daughter and had rushed back to America, after which the couple was supposedly “uninvited” from a Tell-All that never happened. Deavan hasn’t made a 90 Day Fiancé appearance since then, and is now in a happier relationship with boyfriend Topher Park and has full custody of son Taeyang.

After a 90 Day Fiancé podcast page The Fraudcast on Instagram posted a screenshot of Alina’s Facebook post from 2014 where she’s written about attending a racist party, Deavan took to the comments to expose TLC. The pinned comment by Deavan read, “Do better @tlc sadly things won’t change.” Deavan added, “I know so many stories from the inside of cast who were victims getting booted for coming out about what happened to them on set.” The Instagram model Deavan continued, “Yet Sharp [the production company that films the show] will keep these type of people on the show like they did with Big Ed. It’s sad. If a person makes them money they’ll keep them.

But Deavan didn’t stop there. After alluding that the network might retain Alina despite her ignorant remarks, Deavan wrote, “But if a person speaks out they won’t.” More shockingly, Deavan claimed, “The sad reality is there is [sic] many victims from TLC shows. Some have been SH and one even being M word by a producer from a different show that’s on the network.” Deavan wrote that she thinks she’ll probably get into trouble for even commenting this since according to her, her contract “still has 6 months.” Regardless, in the end, Deavan again requested, TLC and Sharp Entertainment to “do better.” When a 90 Day Fiancé viewer asked Deavan if she will shed more light on these accusations once her NDA is up, Deavan wrote, “yes I plan on it.

Fans appreciated Deavan speaking up for victims and that she is doing the right thing. “Most cast needs to speak out. If they did, this wouldn’t happen,” was someone’s reply to Deavan. The other comments on the post wrote how TLC needs to get “rid of Alina” and a fan also suggested “boycotting” the show because keeping people “like this” on TV is unacceptable. A few other viewers observed that Alina’s English was great even in 2014 and she should have known better than to write offensive words which she claimed to have seen “people on social media using.” Still, cast members such as Deavan from 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way voicing her thoughts means a great deal for fans who’ll look forward to hearing what else she has to say when her non-disclosure ends.
