Deavan Clegg has been dealing with a lot during the last two episodes of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, both onscreen and online. Two weeks ago, the TLC reality series aired a preview clip showing Deavan’s daughter, Drascilla, running away while Jihoon charged after her. The August 17 episode elaborated on the scene, showing Deavan and her mother, Elicia, lashing out at the Korean man for letting the child run away. Deavan, who has been incessantly accused by 90 Day Fiancé viewers of being a bad parent and a manipulative partner since then, is claiming that things on the reality show are not as they seem.
90 Day Fiancé fans saw Jihoon bawling his eyes out as Elicia screamed at him for not looking after Drascilla. The scene had the 3-year old escaping from Jihoon and running towards oncoming traffic. But when Deavan asked Jihoon to grab her daughter, he angrily told Deavan to stop yelling at him. This infuriated Elicia, who took all her anger and fear out on Jihoon. Viewers, on the other hand, didn’t waste any time blaming Deavan and her mother for their “bad parenting” and for not “disciplining” the child. But that’s not all. A group of 90 Day Fiancé viewers found out the name of Deavan’s ex and Drascilla’s father, even though the young mother spoke about her restraining order against him. The fans then took to attacking Deavan about her ex. But Deavan couldn’t bear any of the negative DMs and comments anymore, and shared an Instagram story claiming 90 Day Fiancé viewers needed to know the truth before jumping to conclusions.
In the message posted on her Instagram, Deavan claimed the viewers had no idea what really went on in her relationship with Jihoon. She said, “If you guys only knew the disgusting things that happened this year off-camera. If you knew everything going on in this very moment, knew what I’m doing and going through the scars that happen this year. Enjoy the show.” As per this Reddit post, Deavan also shared a story calling out people who leaked info about Drascilla’s father. “This isn’t a game… you guys did me in you win… thanks a lot there is a reason I have a life long protective order.,.” wrote the reality TV celeb, who later posted pictures of the official documents. She added, “you all really believe everything you see on tv… you guys don’t know the truth or half of it.” Deavan then referred to 90 Day Fiancé as a “dumb show.”
Deavan spoke to 90 Day Fiancé blogger John Yates yesterday in an Instagram Live about the Drascilla incident, claiming what was shown on TV was an incorrect version of events. “What they showed had happened two hours earlier than the actual incident. The real incident happened after filming and was a lot worse. Drascilla almost got hit by a car when Jihoon was watching her,” she claimed. The production team told her they’d use a cue card on the show to indicate the events that actually took place, but weren’t caught on camera. “The event happened a year ago and we’ve all moved past it,” added Deavan. “The reasons why I’m back (to America) will be on the show soon,” she shared. “Relationships aren’t easy and we’re just working through it right now,” she spoke without giving away more details about her marital status with Jihoon.
Deavan has been open about her abusive relationship with her ex, and fans’ decision to hunt him down crossed a major line. Deavan also shared how a few of the show’s fans were sharing photos of the man’s other child and putting her “family’s life in danger.” Deavan maintains that her ex is not a part of 90 Day Fiancé, and therefore should not be involved, as he has his own life.
