90 Day Fiancé: Cast Members Who Had Successful Careers Before the Show

90 Day Fiancé: Cast Members Who Had Successful Careers Before the Show

Many 90 Day Fiancé cast members embarked on new careers because of the show, but there are some 90DF cast members who had successful careers ahead of reality fame. In most cases, the show did kickstart the careers of lots of cast members, and they went on to become influencers. Others created music or made money on online platforms, such as Cameo and OnlyFans. There are also several cast members who were actors in their home countries before appearing on 90 Day Fiancé. They gained fans in the U.S. because of the show.

For example, Usman “Sojaboy” Umar from 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days was a singer and songwriter for ten years in Nigeria. Now, some people in the U.S. are aware of him because of his TLC appearances. 90 Day Fiancé season 8 cast member Yara Zaya was featured on  European reality shows before becoming a 90 Day Fiancé star, and she is now an influencer in the U.S., as well as the owner of admittedly controversial makeup and clothing lines. Speaking of controversies, Alina Kozhevnikova, who is currently in hot water for making racist remarks on social media, was also an actor in Russia before becoming known in America, via her appearance on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5.

Many of the 90 Day Fiancé cast members who had successful careers after their first stints in the franchise continued to work in the entertainment industry. Lots of previously unknown 90DF cast members appeared in music videos, became DJs, or achieved Internet fame with brand partnerships after gaining reality fame. However, there are plenty of stars from the 90 Day Fiancé franchise who had successful careers before then, and some of them didn’t find success in the entertainment industry. Keep reading to find out who they are and what they do for a living, away from TLC cameras.

Jovi Dufren – ROV Supervisor

Yara connected with her future husband Jovi Dufren because of their shared love for travel. When fans met the couple in 90 Day Fiancé season 8, Jovi explained that he traveled a lot because of his job. Before he became a reality TV star, New Orleans man Jovi was an ROV supervisor. ROVs, or “remotely operated vehicles,” are basically underwater robotics, and Jovi runs all of the controls for the machines. Even after appearing on the show, Jovi was still working as an ROV supervisor, which meant he was gone for months at a time. Of course, this caused problems with Yara on the show. However, Jovi has recently been working less, probably because Yara has been so successful with her clothing store, makeup line, and Instagram account.

Rebecca Parrott – Private Investigator

When fans first met Rebecca Parrott on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 3, she was working as a private investigator. 50-year-old Rebecca asked her co-worker to investigate her Tunisian then-boyfriend Zied Hakimi before she flew to Tunisia to meet him. She discovered that he earned a degree in heating and air conditioning. Rebecca worked as a P.I. for several years when she was in her 40s. When fans saw her again during 90 Day Fiancé season 8, they were surprised that the Georgia woman had a new job as the general manager at Joella’s Hot Chicken. Zied’s wife, who has a culinary degree, claimed she needed to make more money to be Zied’s sponsor when he moved to the U.S. and said that restaurant management paid better than her P.I. job. She also used to work as a motorcycle mechanic, and was an actress who appeared in a movie, Keeping Up with the Joneses.

Molly Hopkins – Lingerie Shop CEO

Another cast member from Georgia, Molly Hopkins, has owned LiviRae Lingerie since 2006. When fans met her on 90 Day Fiancé season 5, she was running the shop with her best friend, Cynthia Decker. The Pillow Talk favorites still co-own LiviRae Lingerie together, in addition to enjoying reality TV careers. In fact, Molly and Cynthia were on another reality show called Double Divas before they appeared on 90 Day Fiancé. The show was about their friendship, as well as their experiences owning a lingerie shop together. Although Molly initially appeared on 90 Day Fiancé with her ex Luis Mendez from the Dominican Republic, she was later cast in 90 Day: The Single Life season 1 alongside Brooklyn cop Kelly Brown, with whom she is still going strong.

Anna Campisi – Beekeeper and Honey Shop Owner

90 Day Fiancé star Anna Campisi

Before Anna Campisi was on 90 Day Fiancé season 7, she was a beekeeper and the owner of a shop called Beauty and the Bees. Anna opened the shop in 2015 and still runs it today with her husband, Turkish man Mursel Mistanoglu. Based in Omaha, Nebraska, Beauty and the Bees sells candles, honey, soaps, desserts, and many other honey-based products. Anna and Mursel initially connected online in a beekeeping enthusiast group because of their shared love for beekeeping. Many fans think it’s very sweet that the two now sell bee products together. Although Beauty and the Bees was initially only an online store, the couple recently opened a storefront for their business.

Ellie Rose – Pizza Restaurant Owner

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Ellie Rose talking to cameras in home

People who watched 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 3 were shocked when Ellie Rose was planning on leaving her successful Seattle pizza restaurant, Central Pizza, to move to a remote Caribbean island. She did all of this for a man who had already cheated on her. “Pizza queen” Ellie opened Central Pizza around 2014 and has a business partner, Dylan, who took over the eatery when she was about to move to Providencia for her beau, Victor McLean. Concerned fans were relieved to learn that Ellie and Victor are still together and appear to be living in Seattle, as this means that Ellie didn’t have to say goodbye to her business forever. Between Hurricane Iota devastating Providencia in November 2020 and Victor cheating on the pizza queen, most 90 Day Fiancé fans thought this couple wouldn’t last until the end of the season. Then, they got engaged and proved everyone wrong.
