Appearing in the popular TLC franchise has made many cast members susceptible to harassment from viewers. However, some 90 Day Fiancé cast members are considered more deserving of criticism due to their public bad behavior.
Since the 90 Day Fiancé franchise first aired in 2014, it has expanded to become enormously popular. This has led to many cast members becoming followed by hundreds of thousands of fans on social media. Unfortunately, heightened criticism comes along with newfound fame and support. However, some franchise fans take their insults too far when they attack Big Ed’s appearance, rather than his character.
Angela Deem
Like Big Ed, Angela Deem is a notorious franchise cast member who has been filmed verbally abusing her partner. Angela treats Michael Ilesanmi horribly, as she frequently insults and harasses her husband. Angela also tried to illegally track Michael, and doesn’t show respect for him. Franchise fans were greatly disturbed when Angela seemingly allowed her daughter, who is a convicted child molester, to live with her, even though her young grandchildren also resided in the home. Overall, Angela has demonstrated to 90 Day Fiancé fans just how abusive and immature she truly is.
Leida Margaretha
Leida Margaretha has the title of being the most loathed 90 Day Fiancé cast member of all time. However, many viewers believe that she deserves criticism. Leida infamously kicked her partner Eric Rosenbrook’s teenage daughter out of his home and obtained a restraining order against the teen when the two did not get along. This controversial move caused franchise fans to turn on Leida and Eric forever. However, a lot of viewers think that Leida deserves criticism due to her pathological lies and cruel behavior.
Colt Johnson
Colt Johnson’s been on multiple 90 Day Fiancé shows, although few viewers like the American man. Colt displays many worrisome personality traits that make him seemingly deserving of criticism. He’s a serial cheater who’s guilty of lies and infidelity. He is also unable to detach from his mother, and has an uncomfortably close relationship with her. 90 Day Fiancé’s Colt has proven on multiple occasions that he is not a mature or loyal romantic partner, which likely makes the American man deserving of fan backlash.
Natalie Mordovtseva
Like Colt, Natalie Mordovtseva has repeatedly demonstrated her lack of maturity and respect in her franchise relationships. Though Natalie’s estranged husband Mike Youngquist also deserves criticism, many viewers were appalled by Natalie constantly telling Mike that she was smarter and more attractive than him. In addition to being a bully and having a big ego, Natalie has been called out for multiple tone-deaf social media posts, which show that she fails to inform herself about world events. Overall, many fans think they are justified in calling Natalie out for her immaturity.
Mark Shoemaker
Mark Shoemaker became infamous in the 90 Day Fiancé franchise for his controversial relationship choice. Mark decided to bring Nikki Shoemaker to the US to marry him, even though she was just 19 and he was 58. While some “age-gap” relationships have worked out, Mark and Nikki had an obvious imbalance in their relationship dynamic. Mark treated Nikki as though she were a child. and did not appear to respect her as an equal. Many viewers found Mark to be incredibly creepy, and couldn’t forgive him for going after a woman so much younger than himself and his adult children. Some viewers have even accused Mark of filing for divorce from Nikki because she is now too old for him.
Andrei Castravet
Unlike Mark Shoemaker, Andrei Castravet and his wife Libby Potthast do not have a 90 Day Fiancé relationship with a concerning age gap. However, there are aspects of Andrei’s personality that anger viewers. Andrei and Libby behave in an entitled manner, such as when Andrei asked his father-in-law Chuck Potthast for a $100K loan to start a competing business. Andrei has also been called out for misogynistic comments, and he definitely has a bad temper. Some viewers blasted Andrei for always cursing at Libby and her family under his breath in his mother tongue. Overall, Andrei’s brutish behavior and entitled attitude have earned him reasonable backlash from viewers.
Geoffrey Paschel
Many franchise cast members are deserving of criticism, but Geoffrey Paschel is the most deserving of the criticism he receives. The former Before the 90 Days cast member was found guilty of domestic assault and sentenced to 18 years in prison. However, Geoffrey continues to maintain his innocence, and so does his current partner, Varya Malina. Many franchise fans are appalled by Geoffrey’s criminal conviction, as well as his lack of remorse or empathy for his victim. Overall, Geoffrey has proven that he deserves all of the backlash he receives from 90 Day Fiancé franchise fans.
