Popular 90 Day Fiancé star Angela Deem is under fire for hosting an Instagram Live session with her plastic surgeon, Dr. Michael Obeng, while he was performing surgery. The 55-year-old meemaw was once considered the most entertaining and funniest star of the franchise. However, she has now become the most controversial cast member. She was first criticized for her abusive and violent behavior towards her Nigerian husband, Michael Ilesanmi. She doesn’t let him talk to his friends and constantly belittles him. Most recently, she ended up calling him an “ugly b****” on national TV.
Angela doesn’t let Michael have female friends or even talk to any women. She even accused Michael of sleeping with his aunt Lydia, which many 90 Day Fiancé viewers found utterly disgusting. The fans called out Angela’s hypocritical behavior because she controls her husband while openly flirting with other men. When she first met Dr. Obeng, she couldn’t stop blushing. She called him attractive and even wondered whether he was already married. During the Tell-All, she also admitted to going to his birthday party and getting a ride from him.
After being labeled as the most toxic celeb of the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, Angela has done something even more questionable. She hosted an Instagram Live session with Dr. Obeng. More than 3,000 fans joined the live session, only to discover that the doctor was operating on a patient. Angela saw him working but still called his name to get attention. He turned to the camera, responded to Angela and even asked how she was doing. Without caring much about the patient, TLC star Angela flirted with her doctor, and they talked and laughed. This all happened while the patient was under anesthesia. Many 90 Day Fiancé fans were upset to watch Dr. Obeng’s video because he could get distracted while doing two things at the same time. A fan said (via Reddit), “They are only doing this for fame. So unprofessional.” Another fan commented, “He’s a disgrace as a surgeon.” Someone else chimed in, “What was he thinking?! Who would want to go to a surgeon that goes live to the world during procedures.”
It is understandable that Dr. Obeng wants to promote his clinic by utilizing Angela’s reality TV fame. But many fans found his promotional tactics pretty alarming. Besides, it now looks like most fans don’t want to go to Dr. Obeng’s clinic at all. Some people are even thinking of reporting him so that he can’t practice medicine anymore. Considering the massive backlash Angela is getting from fans, it would probably be better for her to take a social media break. But there’s a strong chance that 90 Day Fiancé celeb Angela will goof up again, which might eventually end her reality TV career.
