Kim is a single mother to her adult son, and she fell in love with Usman “Sojaboy”Umar during their long-distance friendship. She traveled to Tanzania to meet her Nigerian prince in person, and to be a part of his music video shoot. Now that the music video has been shot, Kim wants to take her relationship with Usman to the next level by having a physical relationship with him. However, Usman isn’t attracted to Kim and wants things to happen organically.
In the last episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, Kim pressured Usman to have sex with her, and when he didn’t budge, she tried to manipulate him by dragging her son into the conversation. Many fans are disgusted by Kim’s disrespectful behavior, and she is now being labeled a predator. Some TLC viewers think that Kim gave Usman a gaming console and a brand new laptop to persuade him to have sex with her. Even though Usman denied Kim’s sexual demands, she kept on insisting, which many 90 Day Fiancé fans found disturbing.
Viewers are now drawing a comparison between Kim and Angela. Both are white American women in their early 50s who fell in love with young African men. Fans think that Kim and Angela act like entitled sex tourists who intimidate their partners to get what they want. A Redditor, ro_cocoa, said, “Old white lady sex tourism in Africa is well established.” Just as Kim brought up her son’s name in the conversation, Angela tried to control her Nigerian husband Michael Ilesanmi by holding a Green Card over his head.
Another Redditor chimed in, “I used to think sleazy, entitled sex tourists were mostly men. 90DF taught me otherwise.” Although it isn’t a great argument, some 90 Day Fiancé fans also think that Kim and Angela don’t even try to look attractive (or even presentable) for their partners. Some people think they would benefit from donning shapewear, wearing more makeup, and acting less desperate. It’s possible that Kim and Angela don’t try to look their best because they probably think their high social status is enough to attract (and/or control) their men.
Both women try to buy their men’s love with money and expensive gifts, and in return, they don’t get respect.
