Warning! Preview pages for Titans #13 ahead! The Titans’ resident all-powerful magic user has just revealed she could give Scarlet Witch a run for her money. Raven (or rather, her dark side) is out to take her rightful place as the Dark-Winged Queen and is unleashing her greatest magic attacks to make sure her vision becomes reality.

In a preview for Titans #13 by Tom Taylor and Daniele Di Nicuolo, Raven’s evil half is throttling Nightwing, demanding to know how Nightwing has been able to hide his mind from her. As the evil Raven interrogates Dick, Raven’s good half watches helplessly from her gem prison. Before things escalate, the two are interrupted by Cyborg and Beast Boy.

The Titans try to aid their leader, but before they can rescue him, Raven unleashes a wave of magic that causes reality to reset. Raven manipulates her friends into believing they are discussing relocating the team away from Blüdhaven.

The Titans’ Raven Can Manipulate Reality on a Whim

Raven’s demonic half split away from her and it wasn’t long until she was roped into Amanda Waller’s plan to destroy and discredit the Titans. Posing as Doctor Hate, the evil Raven helped usher in “Beast World” and during the final battle, the evil Raven managed to beat her doppelganger and trap her within a gem. Since then, the evil Raven has been working with Trigon to take on a more powerful role as the Dark-Winged Queen. Not only is the evil Raven out to take over the world, but she also wants the Titans by her side as her personal army.

Marvel fans don’t need to be told twice about how Scarlet Witch is one of the most powerful mutants and has altered reality numerous times. Wanda Maximoff is seen as one of the greatest magic users in the superhero genre and there are few mages who could be considered to be on her level. But as this more malevolent Raven shows, she’s stronger than her more noble counterpart and able to bend reality at her will. Granted it’s not as big as what Scarlet Witch did during “House of M”, but it’s an impressive show of Raven’s powers.

Evil Raven’s Reality-Altering is Just the Start

Titans #9 featuring Evil Raven

Raven’s dark side is more determined than ever to usher in an era of destruction and chaos. With her friends onto her, Raven had to pull out the biggest gun at her disposal so she could continue to grow stronger. Now that she’s lulled them into a sense of peace, Raven can continue to gain strength before she officially becomes the Dark-Winged Queen. With that level of power, who knows what she could do? But if the magic-wielding Titan can already manipulate reality, her rise to greater power could have her becoming even stronger than Scarlet Witch.

Titans #13 is available on July 17th from DC Comics.
