Warning! Spoilers ahead for Daredevil #11!The latest threat to Daredevil’s well-being can be traced back to one of the worst things Bullseye ever did. Matt Murdock’s biggest secret has been exposed to someone he cares about, and this person absolutely hates the Man Without Fear all because of a crime the skilled assassin committed years ago.

In Daredevil #11 by Saladin Ahmed and Aaron Kuder, Matt is recovering after his recent fight with Kingpin. Elektra gets Daredevil to safety and heals his injuries with an Asgardian poultice. After Matt wakes up, Elektra reveals she’s done some digging about Jason, the boy who recently discovered that Matt was Daredevil.

Jason’s father used to work for H.A.M.M.E.R. and briefly worked under Bullseye when he was ordered to eliminate Daredevil, the same day Bullseye blew up a city block that killed 107 people. Jason’s father died and the press blamed Daredevil, causing Jason to resent the hero.

An Explosion Bullseye Caused Has Created a Big Problem for Daredevil

Bullseye Killed Jason's Father and Daredevil Was Blamed Marvel

Daredevil got a second chance at life after he literally went to Hell and back to save his best friend’s soul. Rather than a lawyer, Matt Murdock became ‘Father Matt’, a priest who ran Saint Nicholas Youth Center. Matt was a fantastic guiding figure to kids in need, but as Matt’s old life came calling, he began growing distant from the youths who needed him. To make things worse, Matt got careless and his costume was found by a boy named Jason, who was furious at the discovery. Jason ran away, but not before claiming that Daredevil killed Jason’s father.

Fans may recall that Bullseye did blow up a city block back during the “Dark Reign” days, the same block that served as the foundation for Matt’s Shadowland when he was running the Hand. Bullseye has done a lot of awful things, but the wanton mass murder he committed that day was beyond the pale. Now the past is coming back to haunt Daredevil in the form of Jason, who’s so twisted up that he doesn’t even realize his father’s death wasn’t Matt’s fault. But that’s not stopping Jason from blaming Daredevil or wanting to hurt him.

Can Daredevil Save Jason Before It’s Too Late?

Jason Wants to Kill Daredevil

Jason’s obviously too young and inexperienced to do any physical damage to Daredevil. But that doesn’t mean the young man can’t make Matt’s life harder. After all, Jason knows who Daredevil is and he almost gave Matt’s identity up to Bullseye in this very issue. While he got away this time, how much longer before Jason does something to Daredevil out of pain and hurt? Hopefully, Matt can find Jason and explain that it was Bullseye who killed Jason’s father. If not, Daredevil’s got a huge problem with no obvious solution.
