Star Trek: Enterprise’s Dominic Keating told Sonequa Martin-Green face-to-face why he hated Star Trek: Discovery‘s finale twist that Doctor Kovich (David Cronenberg) was really Agent Daniels (Matt Winston) from Enterprise. Keating railed against Discovery‘s Daniels reveal during a podcast interview, although Dominic explained his reaction stemmed from old frustrations about Daniels’ temporal war storyline on Star Trek: Enterprise.
Sonequa Martin-Green joined The D-Con Chamber podcast for a far-ranging, in-depth interview with hosts Dominic Keating and Connor Trinneer from Star Trek: Enterprise. Of course, their interview touched on Keating’s negative reaction to Star Trek: Discovery’s Kovich-is-Daniels finale twist, but Dominic explained to Martin-Green that his umbrage was in jest. Connor Trinneer: Yeah, you had a bone to pick with that.
Dom Keating: I’ve got a bone to pick wth that.
Sonequa Martin-Green: Oh! You do? (laughs)
Dominic Keating: Well, it’s only… [Matt Winston] was a lovely actor that played him. But I used to be jealous that he’d come in and do three great episodes a season, and I’m like, ‘You know, I’m actually a regular on this show!’ (laughs) And I don’t understand the temporal timeline sh– anyway. No one does! I do say it jestingly.
Sonequa Martin-Green: Of course.
Dominic Keating: When it went from La Forge’s eye piece to the baseball to ‘You know who I really am?’ You’re who? (laughs) Oh, f— off! (laughs) Not again!
Sonequa Martin-Green: Oh man! Oh man. Well, you are the one that can really have that point of view.
