Marvel Studios’ upcoming Agatha All Along series has the perfect opportunity to solve a huge MCU mystery that marked fan-favorite Madisynn’s debut in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. The first trailer for Agatha All Along released in July 2024, raising excitement for the horror-inspired WandaVision spinoff. Kathryn Hahn is set to return as Agatha Harkness, and while the series is expected to reveal more about the world of witches in the MCU, Agatha All Along could also introduce other supernatural elements that could be even more terrifying.

Marvel Studios has already started to dabble in the supernatural, most notably in projects such as Moon Knight, Werewolf by Night, and even Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Many suspect this could be setting up a supernatural superhero team such as the Midnight Sons, and Agatha All Along could provide the next piece of this puzzle. One surprising Phase 4 project also explored some supernatural elements, however, which could be explored in more detail in Agatha All Along.

Madisynn’s Journey To Another Dimension In She-Hulk Is Still A Mystery

Patty Guggenheim debuted in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode 4, “Is This Not Real Magic?,” as Madisynn. The oft-drunken Madisynn became an instant fan-favorite, due in part to her hilarious catchphrase, “Madisynn is with two N’s, one Y, but it’s not where you think,” but also because of her apathy in the face of extreme danger. After being sent to another dimension during one of Donny Blaze’s magic shows, Madisynn made a deal with a demon, described as a goat named “Jake,” who allowed her to return home.

Madisynn is the breakout character from She-Hulk fans never knew they needed. There’s no shortage of memes proving she’s the best part of the show.

This ordeal seemed to have very little impact on Madisynn, who quickly became firm friends with Wong, and aided She-Hulk in the trial against Blaze. However, this created an interesting storyline that hasn’t yet been addressed in the two years since. The true nature of the dimension Madisynn journeyed to and the real identity of “Jake” have been left as burning mysteries. Few demons have been seen in the MCU proper until now, but She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’s debut of “Jake” presents an exciting opportunity for Agatha All Along.

Agatha All Along Is The Best Place For Demons To Join The MCU

While the demon “Jake” was referenced in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and various interpretations of demons were seen in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, this side of Marvel’s supernatural stories hasn’t really been explored in any great detail. Demons play a huge role as antagonists to many heroes in Marvel Comics, so it’s curious as to why they haven’t had a more prominent role in the MCU. This could soon change, however, as Agatha All Along will focus on the supernatural more than most previous projects.

Agatha All Along’s first trailer provided a glimpse at the horror-inspired action that will be included in the upcoming series. Leaning on this as a genre makes Agatha All Along the perfect place to explore demons in more detail, and this could provide an answer to exactly what happened to Madisynn in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, perhaps even allowing the fan-favorite character to return. This could provide some huge reveals for the MCU’s Phase 5, and could even set up the next major antagonist of the entire franchise.

Madisynn’s “Jake” Could Be A Much-Wanted Marvel Villain

Mephisto looking horrifying in Marvel Comics

The reveal of “Jake” the demon in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law almost-instantly spurred theories that “Jake” could actually be the iconic Marvel villain Mephisto. Mephisto has been heavily rumored to be debuting in the MCU since the beginning of the Multiverse Saga, but he hasn’t yet made his live-action debut. Agatha All Along would be a fantastic place for Mephisto to make his debut, especially since he has been rumored for several upcoming projects, and could be a major thorn in the side of the MCU’s Midnight Sons.
