The moments in the MCU’s Daredevil series that have always stood out to fans (even before the MCU officially even acknowledged the show) are the ‘hallway scenes’. These scenes are single-shot sequences filled to the brim with heart-pounding action and realistic violence, and each of the three original seasons of Daredevil had one. And now, thanks to one gritty cosplay, Elektra gets a ‘hallway scene’ of her very own – as Daredevil.

In a Reddit post by user paper.moon.cosplay, the cosplayer shared an image of themselves in an absolutely outstanding Elektra cosplay. Or, rather, Daredevil cosplay, as this version of Elektra is one that has taken up the mantle of Daredevil. And, since she’s the acting Daredevil, it’s only natural that the Woman Without Fear should get her own ‘hallway scene’, just like her friend and predecessor, Matt Murdock.

While the image doesn’t show Elektra fighting anyone, it does set the tone for sudden, brutal violence. The camera is tilted, the lighting is harsh and red, and Daredevil herself is clutcher her twin sai, ready for action at a moment’s notice. Not only does this image set the stage for a perfect ‘hallway scene’, but the Daredevil suit itself is absolutely phenomenal. It’s as if Elektra’s unique Daredevil costume has been ripped from the pages of Marvel Comics and brought to the real world – and it’s about time, too.

Elektra Cosplay Beats the MCU by Adapting the Newest Version of Daredevil First

Elektra Debuted as Daredevil in Daredevil Vol. 6 #25 by Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto

During the 2020 Daredevil run, Daredevil was sentenced to two years in prison for manslaughter, as he killed someone while on patrol one night. Thankfully, he was able to serve his sentence as Daredevil, which allowed him to keep his identity a secret while behind bars. At that time, Elektra had come back into Matt’s life, and she was determined to prove to him that she was more than just a killer, but a legitimate superhero. So, when the world was without Daredevil for a time, Elektra took it upon herself to fill that vacuum.

Even with Matt out of prison, Elektra is still the acting Daredevil in Marvel Comics canon, with one of her latest feats of heroism being fighting alongside Spider-Man, She-Hulk and Luke Cage during the Gang War event. In other words, Elektra being Daredevil isn’t just a blip on the Marvel Comics radar, this is a legit change to her character, and one that seems to be permanent. Therefore, it’s about time for a live-action adaptation, especially now that Daredevil is officially in the MCU – and this cosplay beat the MCU to the punch.

Elektra Cosplay May Have Predicted the Future of MCU’s Daredevil

While this cosplay certainly beat MCU to bringing this version of Elektra/Daredevil to life, that doesn’t mean the MCU can’t do the same thing – quite the opposite, in fact. Perhaps this cosplay accurately predicted what fans can expect from the future of the MCU’s Daredevil. Sure, Elektra may be dead in the live-action series, but she was dead in the comics for a time too, and that didn’t stop her from coming back and eventually donning the horned cowl. And now, it’s time for the MCU to follow suit, and hopefully use this cosplay as inspiration.

With the Daredevil persona becoming such a major part of Elektra’s character in the more recent comics, it just makes sense for this version of her to be adapted in the MCU, and this cosplay proves how awesome that would look. Plus, if she does get the MCU treatment, then Elektra’s Daredevil absolutely needs to have a ‘hallway scene’ of her own, just like the one this cosplay expertly sets the stage for.
