Warning! Spoilers ahead for Daredevil #11!Kingpin has just demonstrated a new set of powers that’s making him a nightmare to Daredevil. Wilson Fisk has been possessed by the sin of Greed and it’s making the notorious crime boss more ambitious than ever. Kingpin demonstrates the literal firepower on his side as he attempts to reclaim his kingdom.

In Daredevil #11 by Saladin Ahmed and Aaron Kuder, Matt recovers after his previous fight with Kingpin. Together with Elektra, the two head to a safe house to look for Kingpin. All they find, however, is a satellite map that indicates Fisk is targeting his son, Butch Pharris.

Daredevil and Elektra arrive just in time to stop Kingpin from killing Butch. But even with the two working in tandem, Fisk’s demonic upgrade makes him too fast and strong to handle. If that wasn’t bad enough, Kingpin grabs Elektra and engulfs her in flames that shoot from his arm.

Kingpin Can Summon the Fires of Hell Now

Kingpin Burns Elektra with Hellfire Marvel

Matt Murdock went to Hell to save his best friend Foggy Nelson’s soul. Daredevil made it out and even managed to get a new life as a priest afterward. Unfortunately, pieces of Matt’s soul were missing, and they’d been infected by the Seven Deadly Sins. One by one, many of Matt’s allies have been possessed by these sins such as Elektra, She-Hulk, and Wolverine. The recently-returned Kingpin found himself under the influence of Greed. Not only did it drive Fisk to reclaim Hell’s Kitchen for himself, but it also gave Kingpin strength and speed that even Daredevil couldn’t overcome.

There’s an irony in Kingpin’s demonic upgrade. His greatest enemy has always worn the guise of a devil, now Fisk is the one who’s channeling the power of Hell. Greed has already proven to be a more difficult sin to deal with compared to Sloth, Gluttony, and Lust. While they all upgraded their hosts in various ways, Kingpin is the first host who is genuinely more threatening with an aspect of evil on their side. Matt has had some luck so far exorcising these sins, but Kingpin’s new power is going to make things a hell of a lot harder.
