While it seemed unlikely that an anime as popular as Spy x Family would fail to be renewed for a third season, the months-long wait for an announcement after the second season’s finale in December 2023, had more than a few fans of the hit spy action comedy thinking the worst. The first two seasons of the Wit Studio and CloverWorks productions have loosely covered about half of the story told in the manga so far.
