The first images have been revealed for Netflix’s new movie Incoming. Incoming is a coming-of-age comedy written and directed by Dave and John Cherin. The duo previously wrote for the legendary comedy series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, but will make their feature directorial debuts with Incoming. Dave Chernin previously directed one episode of The Mick, which he wrote and co-created with brother John. John Chernin has never directed any projects before Incoming. Incoming‘s plot focuses on four high school freshmen who navigate the complex social landscape of their first ever high school party.

As revealed by Collider, first look images for Incoming provide a look at the upcoming coming-of-age film. The images show the main characters in a wide range of settings, from the school cafeteria to a party. A behind-the-scenes image shows the Chernin brothers busy at work directing the young male leads of Incoming. One image shows lead actor Mason Thames as Benj, being held up on the shoulders of two other boys at what appears to be a large high school party. Check out all the images below:

Who Is Who In Incoming Explained

Incoming Combines Up-And-Coming And Veteran Actors

The ensemble for Incoming features Thames in one of the lead roles. The teen actor made a name for himself in his recent role playing Finney in the well-reviewed horror film The Black Phone. Thames also played young Cordell Walker in the CW series Walker, and is set to star in the Mel Gibson-led adventure film Monster Summer. While a very different genre from Incoming, Thames’ performance in The Black Phone was stirring enough to build confidence in his continued acting strength for the Netflix film.

The Black Phone 2: Release Date, Cast, Story & Everything We Know

The Black Phone 2 is on the way from Blumhouse, and here’s everything we know about the sequel to the breakout 2022 horror hit The Black Phone.

Another one of the child star leads is found in Raphael Alejandro, who plays Connor in Incoming. Beginning his acting career at the age of 4, Alejandro is known for work such as Once Upon a Time, Kindergarten Cop 2, and How to Be a Latin Lover. Like Thames, the young actor will be given a further chance to build up his already-strong career profile with Incoming.

Incoming‘s cast will be well-balanced in that it pairs these rising stars with more seasoned actors. One such actor is Bobby Cannavale, who, based on the first-look images, will play a teacher in Incoming. Another adult actor in the film is Kaitlin Olson. Olson’s inclusion is particularly notable due to her strong existing relationship with the directors, as she previously played the role of Dee Reynolds in It’s Always Sunny and Philadelphia. Hopefully, this range of talents will support great ensemble interactions for Netflix’s Incoming.
