Warning: This Article Contains SPOILERS for Star Trek: Prodigy Season 2

Wil Wheaton loved how Wesley Crusher’s comeback in Star Trek: Prodigy season 2 included an Easter egg from Star Trek: The Next Generation season 1. Wesley left TNG in season 7 to become a Traveler, and Crusher returns at the peak of his cosmic powers in Star Trek: Prodigy season 2. Motor-mouthed and scatterbrained, but eternally brilliant, Wesley mentors the heroic young Starfleet crew of the USS Protostar to protect every Star Trek timeline from the reality-eating menace of the Loom.

Star Trek: Prodigy co-executive producer Aaron J. Waltke (@GoodAaron) responded to a fan on X about the pumpkin-colored sweater Wesley Crusher wears in Star Trek: Prodigy season 2. Waltke confirms that it’s the same sweater Wesley wears in Star Trek: The Next Generation season 1’s episode “Where No One Has Gone Before,” and that Wil Wheaton “loved that we brought it back.” Check out Waltke’s X post below:
