Severance season 2 gets a new teaser hyping the mysterious Testing Floor. Premiering on Apple TV+ in 2022, the hit mystery series follows Adam Scott’s Mark Scout, one of a number of employees at Lumon Industries who has undergone a procedure to separate his work memories from his personal ones. After an acclaimed season 1, Severance season 2 is now poised to reveal more about Lumon and the people who work there.

The official Apple TV account on X, formerly Twitter, now shares a new video teasing the dark hallway and elevator that leads to Lumon’s ominous Testing Floor. Check it out below:

The video features the red light above the elevator blinking in a distinct pattern, and it didn’t take users long to figure that it’s blinking in Morse code. According to these social media sleuths, the Morse code confirms a trailer for season 2 is arriving tomorrow, July 10.

Severance’s Testing Floor Explained

Lumon Industries Remains A Mysterious Place

While the Severance season 1 finale finally provides some answers to viewers, it also raises a number of new questions. Much of Lumon and exactly what goes on there remains completely unknown, including exactly what the Testing Floor is. So far, the show hasn’t actually revealed what’s down there, only revealing the dark hallway and elevator that lead to it. The hall is distinct because, in contrast to Lumon’s other hallways, it’s very dark, with the red elevator down arrow presented as being particularly foreboding.

7 Burning Questions Severance Season 2 Needs To Answer

With many questions lingering since Severance ended, anticipation builds for season 2 to answer some of the series’ most burning questions.

The only character seen going down there so far is Ms. Casey (Dichen Lachman). After she tells Mark that she’s “retiring,” she is escorted to the dark Testing Floor elevator by Milchick (Tramell Tillman). One major mystery that remains about the testing floor is also how Irving (John Turturro) knows about it. The Severance season 1 finale reveals that Irving’s outie obsessively paints the Testing Floor hallway and elevator, only making the location more intriguing.

With the core Severance cast returning for season 2, the upcoming batch of episodes is sure to provide more answers regarding Lumon and the Testing Floor. Just like season 1, however, it’s likely that it will also just raise even more questions. In any case, the Severance season 2 trailer tomorrow should reveal more about what’s to come from the hit Apple TV+ show when it returns later this year.
