That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime season 3 has shifted focus from conflicts to festivities, and with that change has come a lot of preparation for Rimuru’s ascension festival. Working with his fellow demon lord Ramiris, Rimuru has started constructing a massive, 100-floor dungeon beneath Tempest, hoping to use it as a tourist trap to draw in adventurers.

This episode featured a lot more discussion about the festival and the labyrinth, but this time it was broken up much better by character moments and some flashy animation. Rimuru and Ramiris have been getting along surprisingly well, given some of their past interactions, and the dungeon itself is coming along well. They even managed to rope Veldora into the situation, convincing him to act as the boss of the dungeon, which allows him to release his magical aura for the first time since Rimuru freed him. Veldora’s magicules filled the dungeon, causing monsters to spawn and setting up the biggest challenge an adventurer can imagine.

When Do New Episodes of Slime Release?

Animated by Eight Bit, Based on the Light Novels by Fuse

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime releases new episodes on Crunchyroll each Friday, the same day they air in Japan. Therefore, season 3, episode 15 of Slime is to be released on July 12, 2024, at 8:30 AM PT/11:30 AM ET. The latest episode will only be available in Japanese with subtitles, due largely to how close it is to the Japanese release. What Happened in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3, Episode 14?

Rimuru Constructs a Brutal Dungeon

Beretta kneels and transfers her contract from Rimuru to Ramiris.

Episode 14 of season 3 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime focused on Rimuru and Ramiris constructing the dungeon that they began planning in the last episode. With 15 of the hundred floors already produced, they decided to bring in Veldora, whose very presence should cause monsters to appear throughout the labyrinth. Veldora will act as the final boss, should anyone make it through all 100 floors of the dungeon. They discussed adding all kinds of crazy traps to the dungeon, but Rimuru requested some “terrain effects” which Ramiris wasn’t able to do. That’s when Milim showed up, suggesting they add Fire and Ice Dragons to the dungeon.

There was also a very nice character moment, wherein Rimuru surrendered his power over Beretta, giving her full allegiance to Ramiris. Ramiris was overjoyed at the thought of no longer being alone all the time, and was grateful to Rimuru. Beretta, for her part, still feels like she owes Rimuru quite a bit, but was equally thrilled to have Ramiris declared her true master.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3, Episode 15 Focuses on the Audience

A New King is In Store for the Kingdom of Falmuth

An imagine spot showing Veldora in his true form threatening a group of adventurers in the dungeon.

The title of season 3, episode 15 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is simply “Audience.” According to chapter 105 of the manga, the next episode should feature champion Youm finally ascending to throne of Falmuth, and he may even be renaming the country to signal a new start to its history. That means the completion of Rimuru and Diablo’s plan for Falmuth, so Diablo will finally be able to return to Tempest and be back at Rimuru’s side.

The meeting between Rimuru’s representatives and the Tengu will also take place, as they attempt to negotiate for permission to construct a road on the Tengu’s land. That’s when Benimaru may discover a secret about his old master, Hakurou, that will leave the poor Oni in shock. The Tengu also have a strange request for Benimaru in order to allow for the roads to be built: a political marriage. Benimaru is a bit shaken at the suggestion, and rushes back to Rimuru to let him know the situation and perhaps get a little advice on how to handle this ultimatum that the Tengu have thrown out.

There are still plenty of political machinations going on, even as the festival grows closer and closer with each passing day. Depending on how far the episode adapts, fans may even see the first few guests for the festival arrive at the end of next episode, finally kicking off Rimuru’s ascension celebration. No matter how it plays out, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is ready for a little rest and relaxation.
