After a very long time of no news regarding Junji Ito‘s Uzumaki anime, fans have received hope for the series with a potential release window. The manga is a popular masterpiece and very few deserve an anime adaptation as much as this horror series.

The anime was announced in August 2019 and was spearheaded by Adult Swim, but there has been little news regarding the project since. The most fans received was a short trailer in 2023, but it seems that the anime is almost here.

According to the creator himself, the Uzumaki anime will be released sometime in late 2024. Furthermore, one of the episodes lived up to his expectations, which is a good sign for the series’ eventual premiere.

Uzumaki Is Almost Here After Years Of Delay

Like many other series in 2019, Uzumaki’s production was undoubtedly hindered by the ongoing pandemic that shut down the world, but it seems like things are improving. In an interview with Japan Times, Junji Ito revealed that one of the 4 episodes has already been completed and that he was satisfied. Although an official confirmation by Adult Swim hasn’t been made yet, the word of the creator himself is just as concrete, so fans can be excited, knowing that later this year, the anime will arrive.
