Warning! This article contains SPOILERS for Star Wars: The Acolyte episode 6.

The adorable Bazil has become a standout of Star Wars: The Acolyte, and as it turns out, actor Hassan Taj already has quite a history with the Star Wars franchise. Surrounded by the severity of The Acolyte, which has quickly become one of Star Wars’ darkest projects yet, is the hard-working Bazil. A master tracker, Bazil is a Tynnan who is recruited by the Jedi to help them locate Jedi Master Kelnacca on Khofar in hopes that it will ultimately lead them to Mae (Amandla Stenberg).

Bazil then became a source of hope for Master Sol (Lee Jung-jae) to uncover the truth that Mae had switched places with Osha, which came to fruition by the end of The Acolyte episode 6. Taj has brought an adorable kind of life to Bazil that has facilitated the audience’s adoration of him, despite how limited his screen time has been so far. The Acolyte, however, is far from Taj’s first Star Wars endeavour, as he already has quite a storied experience with the Star Wars galaxy – and some of its most beloved characters.

Star Wars: The Acolyte Cast & Character Guide

Here’s everything we know about The Acolyte’s cast and the characters they will be portraying in Star Wars’ most mysterious project yet.

Hassan Taj Isn’t New To The Star Wars Galaxy

The Actor Has Been A Part Of Star Wars For 6+ Years

Taj’s first experience with Star Wars began in 2018’s Solo: A Star Wars Story, where the actor portrayed the droid JV-P12. Though the droid has a short-lived appearance, he left a memorable impression thanks to how adorable he was. He acts as a part of L3-37’s droid revolution on Kessel, happily stomping on some controls as they unleash chaos upon anything and everything.

Taj, however, has also gotten the chance to bring a very memorable Star Wars character to life: R2-D2 himself. For 2019’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Taj was behind Artoo’s performance, maneuvering the droid along with Lee Towersey throughout the final installment of the Skywalker saga. This is no small feat; Artoo is easily one of the most recognizable and beloved characters of the entire Star Wars franchise. Now, that same spirit of passion has carried into Taj’s performance as Bazil.

Bazil Is Definitely His Most Adorable Addition Yet

The Tynnan Has So Much Personality

Artoo is certainly hard to beat, but in the spirit of originality, Bazil is certainly Taj’s most memorable Star Wars role yet. Though he cannot be understood, especially because his translator Yord Fandar (Charlie Barnett) unfortunately met his tragic end in The Acolyte episode 5, his actions speak for him. He displays his strong sense of duty in relentlessly tracking Kelnacca and even shows a fiery fighting spirit when he discovers Mae on Sol’s ship. Bazil is both brave and adorable, certainly marking Taj’s performance in The Acolyte as his most memorable for Star Wars yet.

The Acolyte episode 6 is now streaming. New episodes premiere Tuesdays at 9 PM ET on Disney+.
